Good for you, Colin Powell!

Powell is apparently not among the sheeple who dote on every word of the overpaid, lardbag, blowhard, prescription drug addict who appeals to those who can not or will not think for themselves.

By the way, I listened to Limbaugh in 1988, when he first began to blither on the airwaves, and he often said THIS in his early days of radio buffoonery:

"My friends, you don't have to think; I'll do your thinking for you."

Limbaugh is to intelligent discussion what rancid buzzard meat is to culinary excellence.

While I don't really agree with Limbaugh a majority of the time, he is a great entertainer. I listen to him when I can and always enjoy his show. You don't have to be a hard core conservative to like him. He isn't perfect, and has and had his fair share of problems, but point me to the pefect person and I'll call you a liar.

Sometimes he is just down right hilarious, he has always been very courteous of his callers, unless they weren't the same or disrespectful to him.

A conservative friend introduced me to his show in the mid 90's and I've tried to catch it when I can. If you listen to him, you can enjoy his show. If you hear him, it will probably make you bitter.

Of the several conservative airbags, I believe Rush to be respectable. Again I don't listen to him everyday, but often, and while I could be wrong, I've never heard him get out of line with a caller or person that didn't see his point of view, unless they cross the line first by getting disrespectful with him.

Now Hannity and Orielly I just cannot stomach anymore. I have seen them on several occasion become disrespectul to their guests or callers. Some callers know how to press their buttons and they just become unglued.
why is it that why I linked to Newmax.com that it was describe like this;

Their "stories" consist of hyperbole, innuendo and other such utter nonsense.

They are the electronic Internet version of the National Enquirer.

Reading the headline of this thread was just about a dead give away.

It would be as equally incredible to write something like "Bush to give Intelligent Speech?"

and then from Meanasasnake

Yes, I noticed the source as well.

But now yall are all over this because it coincides with bashing the republicans and a ratings grabber like Limbaugh?

Yall are nothing but a bunch of hypocritical Liberals that gets your talking points from the Democrat Handbook and don't think for yourselves.
All Colon Pile did was confirm what most of us already knew, he was a defacrat in Republican clothing. I don't know how we did so well in the first Gulf War with him at the controls. Thank God for General Schwarzkopf I guess. Believe it or not, I was born a democrat and was until I took a look around me. The people I admired were Republicans such as Bear Bryant, John Wayne, William F Buckley etc. The dims consisted of Woody Allen, Jane Fonda, Jesse Jackson etc. I got out quick.
Powell gave money to the McCain campagin in the primaries, while Rush was screaming 'no' to McCain, then comes out to support Obama because he inspires confidence? He didn't during the primaries?

quote:
During the appearance, Powell, the first African-American to hold the secretary of state position, made it clear that race had not played a role in his decision to back Obama. His support, he said, arose from Obama's "ability to inspire, because of the inclusive nature of his campaign, because he is reaching out all across America."

Ironically, conservatives like Limbaugh had strongly opposed John McCain during his presidential campaign, while Powell donated $2,300 to McCain during his primary effort.

"I think the party has to stop shouting at the world and at the country," Powell said. "I think that the party has to take a hard look at itself, and I've talked to a number of leaders in recent weeks and they understand that."

"There is nothing wrong with being conservative. There is nothing wrong with having socially conservative views — I don't object to that,” Powell said in the interview, which was taped Wednesday. “But if the party wants to have a future in this country, it has to face some realities. In another 20 years, the majority in this country will be the minority."

I'll take Rush over phony Colon Pile anyday. At least he isn't a finger-in-the-wind turncoat like Pile.

If anyone knows rancid buzzard meat, its u beternu. I'll take Rush over Coleman Pile anyday. At least he's not a finger-in-the-wind turncoat who has absolutely no backbone when it comes to politics.

I'm sure Pile is regarded by the defacrats the same way he now is, by Republicans. You can't trust him. He tried to set himself up as some kind of stately man but it ends up he's just another lightweight politician.

His impersonation of Bill Clinton always makes me laugh.

Hehe..yeah it's pretty right on most of the time. I mean honestly if you can throw your political bias aside he really is very entertaining. I don't mean that in a sarcastic way either. I really do find him funny at times and very informative on many issues.

kperk, what you posted as my post has been altered. Here is exactly what I posted:

I never used the crude and juvenile name, "Colon Pile." I never said anything about any "finger-in-the-wind turncoat," either. Someone needs to be more careful in the cut-and-paste business.

Don't worry beternu. Those were my accurate descriptions of Mr. Pile.

You're right. Colon-pile was well-respected as a man of honor and integrity. He flushed the integrity part which makes it hard for people to appreciate his honor because it could be fake also.

Rush Limbaugh is not man enough to even clean Powell's boots. Limbaugh is nothing more than a media figure with a following who contributes nothing more than opinion and bluster as he sings to the choir. Rush has never done one thing for this nation. Powell has devoted his life to our military and has served with distinction. Even though his tenure as Sec. of State for the disasterous bush administration has tempered his legacy, he is still a great American. Rush has never served in the military. He has done nothing but talk, deal with addiction, multiple marriages and his weight problem.
