What a little hissy fit! Lol....It is always great fun to see someone just totally lose it and throw the internet equivalent of a throw-down, waller on the floor hissy! WoooooHooooooo!

Now, I must say, thank you for leaving the pond and crawling under your rock. We have not missed you.

I am 45 - and quite proud of that fact. Some references are timeless and totally describe an action in terms one can visualize. I located this definition from Urban Dictionary:

noun. A sudden outburst of temper, often used to describe female anger at something trivial. Originally regional from American South. Thought to originate from contraction of "hysterical fit."

Here is one from Beyonce Knowles I located on Slangcity.com

Celebrity quote:
"The Star just ran a story that I had a diva hissy fit in the airport when I left my $19,000 platinum phone at the hotel and sent a limo back for it. A bunch a radio stations picked it up. It's crazy when they feel it's okay to make up stuff about you."
-Beyoncé Knowles of Destiny's Child

Your little try at an insult fell short. It depended on accuracy, and the perfect target. Unfortunately your accuracy was lacking and you totally misjudged the target. My grandmother, who held a graduate degree in History from Emory, was smarter than you when she was 15. What do you know anyway? You are just a kid.

Thats the problem with a lot of you lefties.Any opinion not singing the praises of Obama or your beloved liberal bs teachings you consider dumb.Ya'll hated Colin Powell when he still acted at least moderately conservative, but when he came out for your "CHOSEN ONE"yall couldn't get your lips attatched to his backside quick enough. The democratic civil rights platform:We love minorities as long as they're liberal. The left wing (ecspecially the media)treats a conservative black like a leper.

Better yet, let the LEFT start up talk radio shows to counter Rush. Oh, wait...they tried, and couldn't survive in that marketplace. Now, since they can't sell their message, they want the government to force people to listen to it through the "fairness" doctrine...

I have always liked Colin Powell. Have not always agreed with him, but always liked and respected him. I feel the same way about McCain. Both deserve and get my respect. I would say that both sides of the political spectrum have difficulty dealing with dissention in the ranks. You love your loyal conservative brothers best - we love our loyal moderate and liberal brothers best. That is the way partisan politics works in our American model. I did notice how your side used Liberman to moderate effect during the last election. It works both ways. Still neither Liberman OR Powell are any less leaders or patriots for their opinions on who would make the best Commander-in-chief.

What your post had to do with the attached discussion is beyond me. Still, I responded.

So your defense of Limbaugh's illegal drug activity is to cite Kennedy? Rambling off into the woods, chasing a rabbit.

No thats not a defense of it.I'm just saying STFU about it.That is old news.Obama admitted to doing nose candy in college and the left has nothing to say about it.The man was lost in a snow storm throughout law school but thats ok because hes a democrat.Rush Limbaugh has never, and I dare to say will never run for public office. So his past drug use doesn't matter to me nor does Obamas. It just amazes me the hypocrasy of the left.

AND there's a big difference between getting hooked on pain killers when you have been in excruciating pain, and getting and snorting cocaine as odrama did. I have yet to see cocaine prescribed by physicians.
Those of you who said and agreed that Rush hasn't done a thing for this country are erroneous, as usual. Rush has raised and given millions to charities such as: Marine Corp- Law Enforcement Foundation and Leukemia-Lymphoma Society, the Rush 24/7 Adopt a Soldier campaign, charity golf tournaments as well as numerous trips to military bases and trips to visit troops in Iraq/Afghanistan.
Add to that the individual gifts he has given to listeners i.e. cars, sleep number beds, money, computers, etc. He personally paid the entire cost of heart surgery/aftercare of a dear friend of his. He matched the 2.1 million given on ebay for the "phony soldiers" letter by Harry Reid, and donated the entire 4.2 million to the Marine-Law Enf. fund for the kids of fallen military/police officers.

Tell me about Colon contributions that he wasn't being paid to do as part of his job.

I expected that kind of well thought out response, esp. when you have nothing of substance to say. You are quite the witty one.

Rush is marginally entertaining; I just don't listen to talk radio much. However, I'd follow Powell to war. I have, come to think of it. That doesn't mean that I agree with everything he has ever said or thought, but I have enormous respect for him as a leader and a man.

At one time I felt that way but how can you follow someone into war when you have no idea who he is anymore?
Unless you've been in the position of being a military officer with a couple decades of service, I'm afraid my explanation would be meaningless. It has nothing to do with their personalities or personal beliefs; rather, it is a combination of duty and trust. Even though my feelings toward Clinton as a person could be best described as "loathing", he was still my commander in chief, and I respect the office rather than the person. Perhaps you should study the words in the oath of office one takes upon commissioning and promotion very carefully. I spent a lot of time pondering their meaning. There is duty, honor, and an obligation to the officers who serve over you.

I followed Colin Powell to war. Earlier, it was Westmoreland, and a host in between. Not all of them were great, but they were all in a position I was duty-bound to follow. That doesn't imply mindless obedience to them, but a reasoned, voluntary commitment on my part to align my actions and conduct with the mission they described.

As I said before, Rush is marginally entertaining, but does not command the type of respect someone who was worked his way up to the top of a brutally darwinian profession that deals with life and death. Rush deals with ratings.

Short answer: I'd follow him to war because the President and Congress decided he was the one they trusted to lead soldiers, sailors, and airmen into conflict; and he'd paid his dues along the way. His support for Obama disappointed me, but didn't change the respect I had for him.
