allowing free and energetic discussion on these forums. By comparison, the pitiful and ever-dwindling al.com forums are irrationally restrictive. Their administrator has a severe nanny complex and is totally incompetent to interpret even those forums' own rules. Two things seem to happen over there. It strongly appears that many complaints alleging "inappropriate" material automatically result in deletion, often accompanied by a 24-hour ban on the one who posted the allegedly "inappropriate" material. Secondly, the forum administrator--often referred to not so affectionately, as the "Deletin' Cretin," has a very strong bias against criticism of the Bush administration. Thus, even sincere, effective argument that differs with that administration gets deleted. Meanwhile, some posters continue to use inherently insulting and inappropriate nicknames such as "demsrlemons" and "libsridiots," with impunity. The bias on al.com is glaringly evident and the forum administrator needs to be given a good backhanded jaw-slappin'! Thanks again to the Times Daily for allowing folks to speak up strongly and colorfully!
