With an impressive win against Waterloo today, the Florence Lady Falcons improve to 6-0. Back up pitcher Kenisha Fortenberry got the win.

The JV Falcons also picked up the easy win in their game against Wloo. The JV team is undefeated in their JV games. They have lost several in a Varsity tourney they played in last weekend. They did take several varsity teams to the International tie breaker. The other games they lost in the tourney were in the bottom of the last inning!

Keep up the great work and attitudes! It looks like good things are in store for Florence softball for several years to come!

Dixie and Honee you are like two immature, jealous school girls trying to bully someone. Guess what? I'm not participating. So post whatever you want. I'll no longer respond.

No matter what you say, the Falcon softball program is on the uprise. Yes, I'll brag about beating Waterloo(a school that has more state softball titles than any one in the county). And I'll be proud of them if they lose. I will promise you this, they will be competitive with eveyone they play in this area and most all the rest from 1A to 6A.

Florence looks to be set for a while. They have very young pitchers, a very strong JV and one of the best coaching staffs in N. Alabama. Also, there will be some great young travel ball players coming in to the middle school for the next couple of years. Again, I am a fan of softball and support all the local teams and wish them luck!

Of coarse the Falcons are on the uprise.....no other way to go....but for a 6A school they are average on their best day. It's one thing to beat up on smaller schools that have less resources and number of students to field a team from but to get on here and brag about it is another. I posted about 4A Central beating 4A Wilson, not only a school in our area (16) but also our "arch rival" either of these schools, although they have half the number of students as Florence, will beat your mighty Falcons over 50% of the games they play. When you beat Sparkman, Bob Jones, Hazel Green or Huntsville let us know we will all help you yell it from the roof tops.

As far as Waterloo goes they do have a great program and I respect them very much for scheduling games against 6A school with more than 10 times the enrollment they have. They can certainly hold their own against most any school their size.
