I'd say McCain did a fantastic job of being weak. He was so eager to 'reach across the aisle', see what good that did him. He couldn't explain his ideas. It took Joe the Plumber to show people what Obama had planned for small business owners. Then, when anybody actually criticized 'the chosen one', McCain would chastise them. McCain was weak on illegal immigration and the economy. His own legislation, McCain-Feingold, turned around and bit him in the butt. He, like Dole, felt it was his time. The Democrats elected him as the Republican nominee in 'open primaries' because he was the easiest to beat, in light of his age and his lack of appeal to voters younger than 65. The best thing he did was to pick Palin, but it was not enough, especially when they muzzled her like they did. I did vote for McCain, and I stated it often and here on this forum they it was only because he was the lesser of the evils. Rush and Hannity and Beck told the truth about both candidates. Sometimes the truth is hard to hear! Take off those red shades.

Strategically, it was a good idea to muzzle Palin--or to try to. The more times she uttered inanities, the more voters switched allegiance to Obama-Biden. The woman was and is a scrambled egg! Her flood of incomplete sentences, non sequiturs, and transparent evasions should have convinced anyone that she is not ready for prime time--not even ready for some 3 a.m. appearance in an infomercial for some kitchen widget!

Too much Kool-Aid for you, B/U!

The people of AK love her and her crowds rivaled Barack's contrived apprearances w/o the rock bands opening up for him. I guess they're all stupid and you are the only enlightened one,(besides the "O").
