The message on the sign says see you in 2012 but here it is the 14th of January and there is no signs that the restaurant will re-open. Either they have the longest holiday recess that anyone has seen or it appears that Country Boy's has gone under.
Hometown Cafe, up the street, just North of the Country Boy's location seems to have benefited from their demise but the grilled chicken plate that we got from there, for lunch, was $6.00 and was hands down the worst meal we have ever got at any Florence or Shoals restaurant. It's difficult to mess up Chicken but they perfected doing it. Also the vegetables were also horrible. Maybe the new WalMart will entice some new Restaurants to give the Cloverdale Road location a try.
