In 1974, my family and I had the great experience of hearing John Denver in concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheater, ,just west of Denver, Colorado, the first of 17 concerts he had at that location. It was his all-time favorite concert venue. Just one man and his guitar and he had the crowd in the palm of his hand.

Ah yes.  In honor of their favorite son, that was the year they changed the name of Deutschendorf, Colorado to Denver.
