wow, how sad for the girl, and her parents.
I cannot believe a school would kick her out! They should embrace her, embrace the child, and show good old Christian love, forgiveness and acceptance to all involved, in my opinion.

The point is that it is a Private Christian School whose board makes decisions about policy and rules and when the rules are violated or policy is violated then it might seem harsh, the schools actions, however I have no doubt that they are attempting to run the school according to Christian principals as interpreted by the board. Granted each Christian denomination or religion has it's own views and interpretations of scripture however I don't feel the school or board deserves condemnation for upholding their policies. Could be that they are just abiding by the examples of scripture.
1 Corinthians 5:1-13 (NIV) 1 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that does not occur even among pagans: A man has his father's wife. 2 And you are proud! Shouldn't you rather have been filled with grief and have put out of your fellowship the man who did this? 3 Even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit. And I have already passed judgment on the one who did this, just as if I were present. 4 When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, 5 hand this man over to Satan, so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord. 6 Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough? 7 Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast--as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. 8 Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth. 9 I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people-- 10 not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11 But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. 12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you."

Could just be that they had this scripture in mind all be it they are two totally different situations but both are considered as sin.

True but when a Christian school acts like the Pharisees whom Jesus called "sons of the devil" the school has to be called into question. I also know of a student whom was caught cheating this year and had to jump through the ropes and apologize for this sin, while a rich student did the same thing and was given a slap on the wrist. Sounds familar, sounds like the Pharisees to me and there are so many churches just like this school. If you abide by the law then I assume you apply the law equally to all students, teachers, and even board members who probably are sinning just as much.

About the stupidest post I’ve read on this thread.

The student that was expelled would be considered from a very rich family. So that blows your rich student theory.

Bottom line, the student violated a rule in the handbook which says that a student will be expelled if the rule is violated. I don’t like it either but that’s their rule, not mine nor yours.

Go to Shoals Christian School if you want to violate rules and get away with it.

Not stupid when churches and school discriminate and then claim to be Christian. We know the public schools discriminate but when Christians do it Jesus calls you a son of the devil. Only pointing out that church disciplines fails unless you discipline all who sin and most schools and churches on punish those who are less forunate. So Covenant Christians be fair and discipline across the board as Jesus would have you would or you too will end up a son of the devil.
Billy Dalton staggered on the sidewalk
Someone said he stumbled and he fell,
Six squad cars came screaming to the rescue
And hauled ol Billy Dalton off to jail.
Because the law is for protection of the people
Rules are rules and any fool can see,
We dont need no drunks like Billy Dalton
Scaring decent folks like you an' me.
No Sireee

Lee Honeycut was nothin but a hippy
Walking through this world without a care,
Then one day six strappin' brave policemen
Held down Homer Lee and cut his hair,
Because the law is for protection of the people
Rules are rules and any fool can see,
We don't need no hairy headed hippies
Scarin' decent folks like you n me
No Sireee

So thank your lucky stars you got protection
Walk the line and never mind the cost
Dont wonder who them lawmen was protectin'
When they nailed the saviour to the cross.
Because the law is for protection of the people
Rules are rules and any fool can see,
We dont need riddle speakin prophets
Scarin decent folks like you 'n me
