On the one hand, I'm not a communist and don't want to come across as defending or advocating communism. On the other hand, I hate to let nonsense and drivel go unchallenged.

The citations from the article aren't from any actual CPUSA literature. They are from a book called The Naked Communist, written by Cleon Skousen. Even guys like Buckley stayed clear of Skousen, who's views were seen as nutty even in the strong anti-communist era of the 50's.

Welcome to the world of the Foxophiled mind! Thanks for your efforts at rehabilitation. They can't help it, they are programmed this way. Twisting statements and misqouting sources are ingrained through indoctrination. There needs to be treatment centers, but the big insurance companies wouldn't allow participation.
Just quote from the jackarse's mouth"

"If the grand alliance that elected Barack Obama comes out in full force to vote we can stop the Tea Party/Republican takeover, continue moving forward and push further for green jobs, union rights, health care and the safety net for the common good.

If voters fail to turnout, the Tea Party/Republican “Promise to America” alternative is clear: continued tax breaks for the top richest two percent which will increase the deficit, privatization of social security, repeal of health care and financial reform, no extension of unemployment compensation, outsourced jobs, increased racism and severe limits to democratic rights."

Okay, point taken. Now, did the CPUSA refute the words used by Mr. Skousen, or am I supposed to discount completely solely because Skousen has a bad rep? The truth crosses the lips of everyone at least occasionally, even idiots and madmen. So did the CPUSA come out and say that the document put forward by Skousen was completely false and bore no similarity to their aims or not. Or were they smart enough to let it go away on its own, whether true or not? I mean if it was a fabrication with no resemblance to the truth at all, one might expect at least a public denunciation. If it is untrue that is... Wink
I don't know what the CPUSA said or did in regard to the book. In general, I don't place the burden on the accused to constantly refute every nutty thing said about them. People are always spinning conspiracy theories, and silence is not tantamount to guilt.

That said, I care nothing for defending the CPUSA, and that wasn't the point of my original response. Whoever wrote that blog piece, and in doing so presented Skousen's claims as actual stated goals of the CPUSA, is either stupid or a liar.
