Most scientists in this country believe in a transcendent being of some sort and 40% believe in a personal God. Unfortunately, what most people observe are silly flame wars like this one…
What's silly, Chuck, is that nonsense such as you presented above is taken as somehow believable.
You can slice BS Creationism into however many sects as you choose, the issue remains that it has not scientific validity at all. Orthodox, Reformed, Conservative, Progressive, Strict sects of Phrenology are all still crap, as is any iteration of Creationism, and for the same reason.
Of bloody course there is no single theory, because there is no theory whatever. Thank you, sir, for answering my question. Thank you again for demonstrating that Creationism is a superstitious fairy tale.
You might be interested to know there is a scientific explanation of the diversity and development of life on Earth. It's called Evolution. It's demonstrable in many different ways, it makes predictions (Google "Tiktaalik" one of these days), it's supported by all other branchs of honest science.
Creationism contradicts every branch of science. It is superstitious theology of the worst sort.
Chuck, I invite you to open your mind and explore the issue for yourself. Don't take my word for it.
You may take my word for this: If you are a Young Earth Creationist, you're a bloody imbecile, and you should drive off a high cliff.
