Good point. A gay man - especially in a small, predominantly straight town such as this - is usually not going to come on to another man unless he has a good reason to do so. In other words, unless you put out "signals", you're probably not going to be approached. I just hope that the man this thread is about reads this and gets his feelings hurt. If he is the person I'm thinking about, he has waited on me in the check out lane several times and always been very nice. I've seen him wait on men, also, and never done anything out of line.
Maynard has an "everyone wants me" complex and is basically delusional. He even accused me in another thread of sending him PM's and asking him for a 'hook-up'. This is nothing short of laughable. Not only have I never sent him a PM, but I've had very little contact with him publicly on these forums. If he were really attractive and actually had people coming on to him, he wouldn't feel the need to make such a big deal about it. He just wants to draw attention to himself and validate himself by making it appear that he is wanted sexually.
True attractiveness begins with not only physical beauty, but also with self confidence. Maybe if Maynard would start there, he really WOULD find himself being wanted. Also, if he really were that attractive (as he said earlier), he would be used to people coming on to him and never give it a second thought. The fact that he made such a big deal about this guy coming on to him at the store (which I question even happened in the first place), proves that it either SELDOM happens or that he is WISHING it would happen more often. Plus, the fact that it was a gay man and he made such a HUGE deal about it, makes me wonder why.
