Well Friday night me and the GF got ready, and decided to give this new steakhouse a try. I was allways fond of the old Big Mikes when it was at this same location on Chisholm Rd. So hopes were high that I had found a good steak close by.
We arrived at about 7:30, and stood in the foyer for about 10 minutes, while listening to the employees laugh and chat back in the kitchen. We were one of 3 couples in the entire establishment, only we were not seated. I finjally decided that it was "seat yourself" type place and found the only table that wasnt covered in food from the previous patrons. The table was sticky with **** that I couldnt pinpoint what it was and the floor of the place was covered in napkins, and crumbs. Finally a waitress came to our table and asked for our order. We both ordered steaks baked potatoes, and a house salad.
After sitting for another 15 minutes while watching both waitresses ( the entire wait staff) watch TV, one finally caught my eye and walked over and said if we'd like to fix our own salad just go to the salad bar, and then returned to her TV program. The salad was mostly brown and not fresh AT ALL.
After another 15 minutes our "medium cooked" steakes came out cooked well done. The potatoes were to cold to melt our butter.
This place I doubt will be in business more than a month or 2. I hate that my old favorate location for steak was soooo dissapointing. Save your time and money and get a better dinning experience. Maybe at Wendy's, or Hardees.
If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?

Yep! We went their Saturday night around 7:30PM.
There were about 3 couples in the whole place. The Steak Pit was on the right, and there was a steak cooking on the grill...What amazed me, as I watched, the flames got higher and higher on the steak with the cook no where in sight..The waitress was busy doing something, so I waited on her long enough to get the impression that just maybe we did not want to eat here..The steak by the time was now turning into burnt...with the cook still not around..I walked over to the salad bar if you want to call it that..and observed a very little lettuce still in the bowl...it appeared to have laid there for quite sometime...the waitress then walked over to me and stated..."If you want a salad..I will need to go get some more..." That was the over the top question...and I told her thank you ...but no thank you...we then left...(By the way the steak was still aflame when we left)...
I agree ...this is one place that is not going to be in business long under the present management...
