Yes they removed us and the other forum because my son got alittle angry about what some people said and he didn't keep it clean, however we are all grieving badly and now we find out the driver Lorraine Terry did not receive any traffic violations at all. It looks like our family will have to take this up with the federal government authorities as the fix was definetely in for this girl in lawrence county. She must be related to the new female judge just appointed in lawrence county. She should have been cited for driving a car she had no permission to drive(car theft?), no insurance, failed to stop or control her vehicle for a pedestrian, killing the pedestrian, and leaving the scene of the accident and of course not telling the authorities the truth. These types of accidents need to stop and changes need to be made. I'm gonna do my best so no other family has to go thru this.

Are you sure they aren't going to indict her or something (grand jury?)? Surely to God this isn't over. It just happened. Have they said that for sure they aren't going to do anything to her - not even for leaving the scene? Did she get a drug/alcohol test? There has to be more to this. They can't just let her walk away from that with no responsibility. Who owned the car she was driving? I would think that it would be the owner of that car's responsibility to prosecute them for 'unauthorized use' or something like that. Have you spoken with the DA of that county?
I strongly feel the penility for leaving the scene of an accident needs to be much more severe than it is and enforced fully. If someone leaves the scene it is because they believe they are at fault or commiting a crime such as DUI.

We were in Virginia City, NV recently sight seeing as we were leaving our daughter was getting into the car and as she was closing the door another driver side swipped us damaging the door of our rental car and fled the scene. A witness got into their car and followed them to get the tag number, we gave OUR insurance information and the other driver's tag number (personalized plate no less)to the police who found her (an elderly lady driving a convertable two door BMW) at her home, she said she loaned her car to a friend but didn't know her name upon further questioning she admitted it was her driving but she was afraid to stop, on a Sunday afternoon on a crowded street in a tourist town. The police didn't charge her since there was no injuries. A few weeks ago we get a statement from HER insurance (State Farm) saying we owe them for the repair to her car of about $4000. We called our insurance company and told them and they say we are not at fault and they have refused payment to State Farm which is what we want them to do. ast week we Last a notice from a debt collector for the $4000! What a mess this is because the police failed to do their job properly and charge her with leaving the scene.
My sister spoke with the district attorney who didn't give her nothing to go on, as if there is no case here. The accident report they just gave her has wrong details on it of course. It sounds to me like the driver Lorraine Terry is related to the the new Lawrence county female judge Terry just appt. We are not gonna give up yet that is for sure. Thanks for all the prayers of support everybody.
If the driver is related to the judge then a change of venue can be requested or the judge will have to recuse herself because she can't sit over anything that involves family. I don't know that there is a "fix" in but I would definitely be seeking an attorney because even if they don't try her in a criminal court -- your family can still sue the girl in civil court. I would not go at this "on my own" or based on "advice" -- I would get an attorney and go after whatever justice can be had.

My thoughts and prayers are will the families involved.
I'm sorry for your loss. You've got some good advice on here. Attorney and contact ABI/Troy King if you have to.

As for the judge, I'm not sure if you're from Lawrence County or not. If you aren't then you may not know its called the Terry capital of the word. Every 4th person is a Terry. I'm sure they're related way back, I think I read they came from Tenn about 1830, but if it isn't real close she will not recuse herself.

Keep us filled in.
