Nine people were killed and dozens were hurt when a suspect wearing body armor opened fire outside a bar in DaytonOhio, early Sunday before responding officers shot the armed assailant to death less than a minute into the rampage, according to officials.

It was the nation's second mass shooting in less than 24 hours after at least 20 people were slain in El Paso, Texas.

The Dayton Police Department said on Twitter the incident unfolded at 1 a.m. in the city's Oregon District near downtown, but officers were nearby and "were able to respond and put an end to it quickly."

America is Still Free to a Fault

Original Post

It's predictable but detestable how quickly each Democrat candidate and Liberal station jumped on the recent tragedy in order to blame President Trump.  Just about all of them also citing Trumps comments with regards to Charlotte, NC and saying Trump praised White Nationalist when that is totally false and proven false.  What Trump did say was that there was good people on both sides (of the historical monument debate) but Democrats and the liberal media (which is most of it) tries to say Trump was talking about White Nationalist.  I tend to believe that although Trump didn't say it that there are some good people caught up in the White Nationalist movement even though the movement itself is wrong.

What you don't hear, but is just as true, is that the rhetoric within the Democrats is also, I believe, responsible for the events that happened in Texas because they are the ones stroking people's anger by saying they would take from taxpayers and give freely to illegals.  This, no doubt, angers many people but especially those who already are deranged and angry at Hispanics but you don't hear CNN or MSNBC or anyone accepting potential blame themselves.  What you also don't hear is questioning about how violent first person video games that depersonalize killing and murder may have played a part.  That's because it doesn't fit the agenda but we must remove all guns and totally disregard the deranged fools themselves who are mentally incompetent and dangerous.

One thin you can for sure expect Democrats to do and that is jump on any disaster and politicize it like the sleazy people they are.  Did Republicans jump on the event when Republican congressmen were targeted by a Bernie Sanders supporter and blame Bernie?  NO ... Republicans didn't do that but Democrats, on the other hand, can't help themselves and jump to make political advantage out of it while the dead are still laying on the floor.

Obama had 8 years to do something and Bill Clinton had 8 years too....

I don't know what you do in Republican Bizarro world, but every now and then do you think you could say at least one thing truthful in the real world??

"Just about all of them also citing Trumps comments with regards to Charlotte, NC and saying Trump praised White Nationalist when that is totally false and proven false.  What Trump did say was that there was good people on both sides (of the historical monument debate) but Democrats and the liberal media (which is most of it) tries to say Trump was talking about White Nationalist".

Correct. He condemned the man in Charlotte and called him a murderer. He said one side had come to protest the monuments and have them taken down...and another side had come to protest them being taken down and that there were good people on both sides of the issue. In usual liberal style the left spun it into him praising the killer. Nothing Trump says will satisfy the left and I don't even know why he bothers.

I saw where Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson dared to put things into perspective and got blasted for his trouble: https://twitter.com/neiltyson

In the past 48hrs, the USA horrifically lost 34 people to mass shootings.

On average, across any 48hrs, we also lose…

500 to Medical errors

300 to the Flu

250 to Suicide

200 to Car Accidents

40 to Homicide via Handgun

Often our emotions respond more to spectacle than to data.

I suspect that there will be a whole host of people on this site to flame Dr. Tyson as well.

I think Dr.Tyson believes that one should worry first about the more likely ways to die. After the arson attack on a studio in Japan with a can of gasoline that killed 33 people, one might as well demand the confiscation of gasoline by the goobermint.

Life is fragile is more likely the point he was trying to make. We are caught up in endless campaign cycles in which the people hope 1 party can solve everything.  And some people take advantage of this situation by appealing to people's emotion or paying lip service. None of that matters.  But we don't have leaders anymore. I'm not sure we'd recognize real leaders if we saw them.

Obama had 8 years to do something and Bill Clinton had 8 years too....

Listening to the news today it was so bizarre how one of the Democratic candidates, Tim Ryan I believe, mentioned about how you can't root out these evil White Nationalist unless you call them out and address the problem.  How convenient it is to make the observation after 8 years of Obama and failure or deliberate omission of referring to "radical Islamic terrorism".  The media and everyone else in his administration not only would not mention Islamic terrorist or problems or attacks by them.  I guess though it's taboo to refer to one group but not another.  Don't get me wrong all of these hate organizations or groups that believe it's alright to murder innocent people are in need of being eliminated whoever they are but if you are going to have the policy of not naming Islamic terrorist then how hypocritical to claim now that it's part of the current problem.

Additionally all the talk about the 2nd amendment and guns an omission of the horrific violent video games or mental illness or condemning the rhetoric of the President and not taking blame for your own is also weak and a part of the overall problem.  They all could be said to have blood own their hands but ultimately the one that is responsible is the deranged mental idiot who did it.  Lots of blame. by the media and Democrats of Trump yet no mention of the actual manifesto which admits that his feelings were developed before Trump ever came into office.   Reading it you can also see he was a believer that the environment was being destroyed and thus he was buying into the Democrats talking points including the Debates which he mentioned listening to so there is enough blame going around.

For those who blame the 2nd Amendment and want to change it by legislation then that is unconstitutional but rather if it is to be changed then do it by amendment and pass it by the constitutional way that is provided.  Unless you do that then you haven't seen any amount of horrors yet.
