Last month with Easter and Passover, de Blasio came out and told Churches and Synagogues:
“If you go to your synagogue, if you go to your church and attempt to hold services, after having been told so often not to, our enforcement agents will have no choice, but to shut down those services,” de Blasio said Friday, according to a transcript from the news conference.
“I don’t say that with any joy. It’s the last thing I would like to do because I understand how important people’s faiths are to them, and we need our faith in this time of crisis. But we do not need gatherings that will endanger people.
“No faith tradition endorses anything that endangers the members of that faith. So, the NYPD, Fire Department, Buildings Department, everyone has been instructed that if they see worship services going on, they will go to the officials of that congregation, they’ll inform them they need to stop the services and disperse.”
He went on to say if his demands were not heeded:
“If that does not happen, they will take additional action up to the point of fines and potentially closing the building permanently,” he said.
But now we are told by this same person that has threatened to close buildings permanently that he will have the city pass out 400 free Ramadan meals.
The problem I have with this is not that they are passing out the meals, but why such a disparity of treatment from one faith to another? For some odd reason, he never said that he would pass out free meals for Jews on Passover, nor that he would hand out free Easter meals; instead, he threatened to shut down any faith that defied him, now is actively showing favorites here.
Sadly, the left and progressives like de Blasio want to share with us how evil Christianity is, the same with the terrible Zionist that practice Judaism, but if you look at these faiths, they are beheading or sentencing gay people to death, they sure aren’t slaughtering people that refuse to convert, nor are they demanding all over faiths be subservient to them. Still, Islam is doing this all over the world.
And before some of you get your hackles raised at me for saying this, why not look at the polling of American Muslims and see if this is not the case?
