There are many, many things that I don't get. I especially don't get the first judge. HE IS A JOKE!! This second one is doing a much better job, I think. The Husband of the victim is a very dear friend of mine. We worked together for years. I remember when their kids were born. I have Christmas cards from them. I never , not for one moment, doubted him. The prosecution did such a job, slandering the Tiptons. My heart still breaks about this. It's not enough that he came home and found his wife murdered all over the house. He was himself accused. Lived through the first trial. Is now living through the second trial....just pray for my friend and his girls!
I have been to this trial , & I am going today . This family has been thru so much & haveing to go back thru this again is just so not right, & as allways the Victim get put on trial & draged thru the mudd . I met this family & a very good family, some from Rogerville & Lexington area . From what I have watched , this Judge is being extra carefull , as any Judge should, so this would never have to be tried again .
It is wrong that Mr. Tipton was accused at first but you know that is procedure because look at how many people do kill their spouses! I am not saying he did, I am just saying the DPD have a job to do and had to investigate everyone in Ms. Tipton's life!
EXAMPLE: I had a brother at 4 years of age he passed away...out of the blue. Later on we found out it was brain cancer. but before the autopsy came back DHR was at my school everyday asking me if my mom and dad abused us! HECK NO WE WERE NOT ABUSED! DHR had to do their job though!
So many people in todays society do the unthinkable so the authorities(cops, investigators,DHR,school personell, etc.) has to investigate! It's sad and disturbing but that's the way it is!
I know only what I've read during the first trial and have seen on 48 Hours. The FBI, or investigators, suppressed evidence they said was not pertinent.

Also, many individuals on drugs confess to things they didn't do. I'm sure this man was no choir boy, but he might not be the murderer. Whoever the miscreant is, he should be punished to the fullest extent for robbing this family of Karen.
I can say, I have been at this trial each day, & what you or I read in any news paper is just a faction to what is really said or going on in that day , Yes the News Paper will print what one wittness says & not print the other side, & this happenes on boths side, not really fair to either side, I understand they can not or will not print ever thing , pick & choose ,but ones as you or I that only reads in the paper, get an ideal of only what side that it Favors at that day of printing . NEWS PAPERS are to be SOLD , thank goodness people are not Convicted or Acquited from reading a news paper.
As I walked out of the Court House , Tuesday afternoon, a lady I didn't know told me it shouldn't take these Jurors more than 15 minutes to come back with a not guilty verdict, now it's starting the 3rd day , & I am sure they are working very hard & under a lot of stress ,this Jury has over 200 items to look at , talk about & then try to agree on their findings. So strange how one side can't see this would be a very hard job for any Jury & not a 15 minute or two hour verdict one way or the other . The last trial it took that Jury a day & a half for a Capital Murder Guilty Verdict . " Justice For All_Even The Victim "
Thanks Shuga. I know that is true. I am just sick for my friends. My friend came home on a day, was just any old other day, and found his wife killed, all over the house. It was his real wife, in his real life! She was Momma to his real kids, in their real life. DNA evidence DOES NOT LIE!! I am so praying for their strength through, yet another, trial. I feel so totally powerless in this. No matter how powerless I feel, David feels so much more so. I can't even imagine how him and his family are feeling right now. Thank you, girl, for reminding me that they are not all alone in this world. I just forget sometimes.
Maggie, David, the girls & family are very strong, I was Honored to meet them . Just so sorry that they will have go thru this again. Some are saying what about the cost of a 3rd trial , The cost of Justice & the life of Karen Tipton , how would you ever put a price on that ? I would hope it gets moved out of Decatur, but I really dought that happens, only way that would happen as the law stands now, it is for the Deffence Attorenys to ask for that, & the way the News Papers & TV from the first trial was talking each & ever day of only what they wanted to say truth or not & it was printed or aired, as we know. To many it became a real life Soap Opera and the for ones that was not at the trial & only was going from what they saw or read in the news papers . The Gag order helped stop most of that this time . But so much damage allready inprinted in most all minds around Morgan Co. from all the mudd slingings the Deffence Attorneys feeding the News outlets. But to think over a 1000 Jurors for this trial , how many for the 3rd one if it is in Decatur . OH I guess I am saying what some know, but then again even if you was not there at this trial each day , then you really wouldn't be getting but a faction of what went on from day to day . I just feel so horrible bad for the children, to hear & see it all again, But I will say they are very strong & proud young ladys . For the future The AG is working on a law so if in cases as this, the State can ask for a trial to moved to be fair " Justice For All _ Even The Victims"
While I never thought he did this alone, he admitted several times that he participated. As bama says, we don't hear all the jury hears. Also, there seemed to have been some problems with the police and prosecution.

I can only say that if he follows the pattern of others who have been acquitted for crimes they did commit, he will soon be in trouble again and justice will be served then.

I am very sorry for the family in this case. I can only imagine how horrible this must be for them. I hope they pursue some sort of civil case. I also hope they pursue the very real possibility of finding the other two that may have been involved. Moore seems like the kind of patsy who could have been very easily influenced to participate in this crime.
