Democrats Back Down On Iraq Timetable

President Bush and congressional leaders began negotiating a second war funding bill yesterday, with Democrats offering the first major concession: an agreement to drop their demand for a timeline to bring troops home from Iraq.

I think the line you quoted is contradicted by this line from the same article:

The possibility of a veto proof bill with some kind of timetable, possibly non binding, or including only benchmarks may pass in the funding bill.

We will have to wait and see.
