Rep. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, head of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, said Coakley's loss won't deter his colleagues from continuing their practice of blaming George W. Bush's administration.

"President George W. Bush and House Republicans drove our economy into a ditch and tried to run away from the accident," he said. "President Obama and congressional Democrats have been focused repairing the damage to our economy."

Really, Chris? Is that all you had? Here's a newsflash, you twit!: People are sick to death of hearing "B-b-b-but Bush!!!". Of course he screwed up royally, with YOUR PARTYS help…and it's taking forever and a day to sort out, but you cannot- CAN NOT- constantly dissemble and try to push off responsibility, because guess what- YOU OWN IT NOW. At some point you have to stand up and say bluntly, "This is where we are. REGARDLESS of how we got here, this is where we are, and this is what needs to happen to get us moving forward again." I will almost guarantee you if YOUR PARTY had orchestrated a campaign on that premise, nobody would even know who this guy Scott Brown is right now. But no, first they just assumed that people would vote for a Democrat because- well, because people ALWAYS voted for Kennedy. Guess what, idiot? Maybe it's because people liked the MAN, not the PARTY. And then, when your PARTY realized that oh crap!, maybe people aren't party loyalists, maybe they really DID mean it when they said they wanted change, well what does YOUR PARTY do? Blame the other dumb twit who's been out of office for a year! Hey, I've got an idea- why not blame Hitler too? And that fat Mussolini while you're at it? Because you know, THEY caused the USA to run up some debt too... Remember WWII?.

So now you’re slowly giving the reins of power back to the ones that you say ran the country into a ditch, because the ONES that are CURRENTLY in office can't figure out how to get the country out of the ditch, thanks to constant and continual backbiting, *****ing, and other such crap. And all the while, us “little folk” circle the drain, watching our futures get “urinated” away in bank bailouts that we will never, ever, see a single benefit from, and that our children’s Grandchildren will be paying for, and focus on things that might actually be helpful to the little people, things like ensuring people like my Mother-in-Law have REALISTIC health insurance, (and have EVERYONE…unions, CONGRESS under the same plan) that gets torpedoed by “politicians” who are bought and sold by corporate interests who don't want to see their stock values suffer because Jim or Sean or Jose or Chantal or Jennifer get sick.

And Nancy “Elite” Polosei just goes on like nothing is wrong. “Head-up-your-butt” Dems think YOU have/had a mandate from the people? Well the R's thought they had a mandate from the people and we saw what happened to them. Same thing's going to happen to YOU.

Dems need to decide who they are and who they want to represent. If they want to continue allowing the George Sores left wing progressives to run the party they are done. They need to refocus on being true JFK democrats again because regardless of Bush's unpopularity, mainstream Americans will not buy this left-wing liberal crap and will get VERY ANGRY having it shoved down our throat.

Obama campaigned as though he would govern from center and usher in a new era of bipartisanship BUT instead he's plunged headlong into an agenda of radical progressive crap that’s just NOT going to fly with most mainstream Americans.
BOTH parties better get with the program, Americans are angry and tired of run away spending and corruption.

You really can't see how angry the people are at just the talk of this let alone forcing it on us? The PEOPLE say it's not going to fly and being even more bullheaded about it doesn't change a thing. People are mad, and you can either listen to them or just keep on blowing them off and marginalizing them…the balls in your court now.

I will give you a couple of very good pieces of advice. Number one is instead of just writing off these tea party folks as a bunch of racist mouth-breathers, maybe it would be a good idea to actually listen to what they are so angry about rather than just demean them.
Number two would be maybe spend a little less time and money attacking and demonizing people like Sarah Palin and worry more about the ranks of your own party

You are never going to have this country fly again on one wing, … it takes two wings to fly.

REPUBLICANS! !!Are YOU listening also??? Don’t think it’s going to be “Business as Usual”…the “eye” is still on you too!

Make no mistake Scott Brown ran an excellent campaign and even Keith Olbermann himself gave credit to the tea party movement for his victory. It even seemed he himself last night started referring to them as tea party people rather than being derogatory and calling them tea baggers.

The next couple of weeks are going to be very important …the PEOPLE will be watching VERY closely to see how President Obama handles his PARTY in the wake of this epic fail. I still hope that he has the best interests of our country at heart, but he has GOT to stop spinning around, trying to be “Mr. Smooth and Easy“, and start cracking some skulls if he has any hope at ALL of actually making some kind of positive headway with his agenda.

It's put up or shut up time.

In my short time of these boards, I seen that if the liberal Democrats are taking 'heat', they hide.

For instance, look up the thread about Democratic Senator Max Baucus drunk on thye Senate floor.

From meanasasnake:

The only Messiah is the Messiah. Obama is a very skilled polititian, who energized his party and the American electorate and won the 2008 Presidential election with more votes than w did in both his elections.

Obama won with more of the vote than bush did in EITHER of his elections.

60+% (several polls verify that fact) of the nation is supportive of President Elect Obama. He won election winning more votes than the "victors" in the last four U.S. Presidential elections.

Just saw a Wall St. Journal poll which gives Obama a 67% approval. Higher, apparently, than any President Elect since the poll began over 30 years ago.

Ah seems like only yesterday. Smiler
