i've been far more cranky and quicker to temper since i quit smoking.
i don't know that's the reason, but i do know since i put the camels down i'm a lot faster to pull out the FU sign...
my buttons are a lot more easily pushed now, and even tho i am aware of it, there are times i re read something i wrote the day before and dunno what the heck i was so upset about.

i'm told that that sort of thing is normal as your body and psyche and chemistry adjust and that i can expect to be back to 'normal' about a year or so after i quit.

I quit smoking once, and there was this guy at work who was giving me ***t for no reason. Bad timing.

I walked into the Boss' office and told him that if person X teed off on me one more time for nothing, that I would take him out back to the loading dock and break his arm. Just figured he ought to know.

I was dead serious. The boss knew it. I never got the opportunity to break his arm.

Oh, well.

Hi Kraven,

When the TD Mods decided to give us a Forum; I suggested it be called the Faith & Family Forum. But, the Mods insisted that it be more inclusive and named it the Religion Forum.

So, since atheism is one of the world religions -- this is basically an atheist forum also.

And, frankly, I am happy to have them here -- for they give us many great platforms from which we can share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

However, Bill and whoever believes, it would make a better forum if the non believers could have their own platform to express their views.

Then they could join the believers forum as they feel need. But also the believes could do likewise as they felt led.
I think this is a great idea, it would give both of us a platform that we as believers, and the non believers to launch our feelings to those who are closer to our own core belief.

I know all that, it's already been said, I was just saying this is out of
control and needs to be separate with limited crossovers.

Too many atheists with their smart ass put downs. There was no problem not long
ago, but lately the newbies,(maybe imports) acting like a pack of wild heretics.

When I first came here, there was one. Now, we are legion.

In the spectrum of human thought, there is more than enough room for skepticism, especially regarding the claims of, and evidence for, religion.

The time has come for religion to stand to the tests of evidence we demand from science, medicine, rhetoric, and philosophy. So far, its attempts to do so have failed, utterly.

I suggest that, rather than complain about atheists, give us something that will change our minds. Most of us have demonstrated that we can change our minds, since, after all, we were religious before we abandoned that institution.

We walk among you. We are your barber, the cop on the motorcycle, your child's teacher, your grocer. We're good people.

It is futile on slim’s part to prove there is no God.

Slim &Co. has failed so miserably I have now considered my position to be fundie and subscribe to the 6k year old Earth.

The last straw was the interview at the Creation Museum between Shermer and that cool chick.

I want to be a fundie with all privileges and rights of the title.

It's not up to me, boychik, to disprove god. YOU make the claim for him, it's up to YOU to prove him.

While extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence, I'll be happy to entertain the least, wee bit of evidence for god.

Second, if they can't keep up in a public forum, such as this one that the TD has so generously provided, it says all about the veracity of their beliefs.

We win all the arguments. They respond with the idea that logic isn't applicable to their beliefs. We win again, then.

I know I can be the least bit abrasive at times, but the time to pretend that religion is respectable despite its flaws has come and gone. If perceived abrasion is the cost, I'll pay it.
