Just to be clear: I was not personally interested in the detox pads. They are clearly a rip off.

I am pleasantly surprised that no one here defended them.

I did call the manager of the pharmacy and let them know that I believe stocking those things is a reflection on their reputation and that I would consider shopping elsewhere if I saw them the next time I was there.

They are probably about as effective as strapping maxi-pads to your feet Roll Eyes

I also saw a tv show that was investigating these pad and other allgdaly amazing products. It was a reputable show. like 20/20. said you could pour sterile water on the pads and they would turn black just like the the pads do on the commercial when worn all night . they emphasized sterile water to be sure the maker of the poduct couldn't claim the tap water was contaminated
