Did bedford order a new bridge on US43/17 just North of Hackleburg?

I don't know, but I DO know he sure does try to improve that area of the state.

Cowboy, I know where you are talking about, we went that way last weekend... I dont know WHY they are there, but I do know where you are talking about... and you are correct, it isn't bear creek.

Then I have no idea... the only thing the ALDOT has as far as construction in Marion County for the last 2 years and next 5 years in that area is the Bear Creek Bridge replacement project. Maybe a local government representative can answer your question.

My boyfriend lives over in Hackleburg and I know that the old bridge that was previously there was in dilapidated condition and seemed dangerous plus it was narrow. The new bridge is definitely much more safer but I don't see where it has to be a two-lane. Hackleburg doesn't see that much traffic! Plus, it's weird because you have to turn down in there some way to get to the canoe place. I personally agree with the writer who said Bedford did a lot for that area. Makes you wonder...
