I heard something on the radio saying you would get it this Monday if the last two digits of your SS # was 00-20.
example 555-55-5501
20-80 is next Monday and 81-99 is the following week. Can anyone confirm?

I heard alot of people saying they got a letter saying they would get one..I didn't get a letter... guess I am not getting one... any info.
mine is in those first numbers for direct deposit, but i got nothing today.

We got ours today $1200.00 big ones....yippee !!!!!but the funny thing is we didnt fall under this weeks payment schedule...

I got mine. I just checked my bank account and it is there.
My husbands last 2 are in that first group but we didnt get it yesterday or today!! Mine is not due until the second group so our luck since we filed jointly they wont deposit them until my group!!

So what's up with the letter deal did anyone get one without getting this letter.
If you file jointly with your spouse then they will go by the last 2 numbers of the primary taxpayer- that would be your husband.
They only way that you will get it separate is if you are not married or your file mfs
I hope we all get them really quickly! I think that with the price of gas and groceries everyone is hurting. Pres. Buch didn't take any of the blame today, he blamed it all on congress- who would have thought that?

Just about everyone should have gotten a letter from the IRS telling them about the stimulas payment.
The only way you will not be able to receive the rebate is if you do not file a return, but even those who have been retired for at least 3 years should have gotten a letter and or filed their return in order to receive it. 2007 returns must have been filed by April 15 of this year in order to receive it. Extension returns will be given the rebate, but not until the return is filed.

,Or if you make above the income limit. Starting at 75K they start deducting money for single and 150K for married. Mine will be deducted 5% for every 1000 above the cutoff. For instance, if you make 82,000 that is 35% of 600 deducted. Leaving you with a rebate of $390 if you have no children and are single.

Nothing personal to you but that is the biggest bunch of crap I have ever read. Let's say you buy your fruit at Big Star, that dollar is deposited to a bank, the bank lends that dollar out to a farmer who buys a tractor, etc, etc. We might import goods from abroad but the people who sell the goods or who own the store that sales the goods are in your community. People who continually spout this anti free trade garbage have no clue and have obviously never taken an econ class.

We received one of ours yeaterday...it went straight into our savings account where it will stay along with the other two when we get those.

You do realize that even though that money is put into savings that it will circulate through the economy? The bank will lend that dollar and it will be spent by the person taking out the loan and so on and so on. The only way these checks will not have an effect on the economy is if people cash them and stick under their mattress.
Very good point bama. I don't think we have to spend it on any specific thing to help our economy -- any purchase (especially to local family businesses) helps...I avoid Walmart at all cost...but I will be spending some of that rebate and putting the other in my savings/emergency fund...
Look at the link to IRS.... depends on if you have direct deposit set up. They get their's first.... followed by the check's in the mail group. Looks like I am in the mid June group. I haven't spent my yet. ----

Dang, I wish it would hurry up. I'm down to 1/8 tank of gas and there's only one more stray dog in the neighborhood to grill. jk of course.
I got a letter saying I would get one but I have not seen it yet. My last two #'s are 08 and I used direct deposit.
