When you put the foxes in charge of the hen houses these things happen. I keep seeing people suing others for not paying rent for a room/rooms in their homes, even though the 'landlords' are living in section 8 or other government supported housing, and having most or all of their rent paid by the taxpayers. And they have no shame about suing either, because apparently no one gives a **** that the taxpayers are being robbed. Here's another twist on it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

While Orange County officials give themselves high marks for the county government’s housing authority, internal whistleblowers allege that the agency's Vietnamese-dominated hierarchy systematically discriminates against Latinos and knowingly allows Vietnamese residents to defraud the county's housing voucher program.

Whistleblowers assert that some Vietnamese rental voucher tenants have been underreporting their income and receiving housing assistance despite running lucrative businesses, owning luxury cars and designer purses, and living in homes with high-end appliances and electronics.

Even when housing inspectors and other agency employees refer these tenants for further investigation, whistleblowers allege housing authority superiors, also Vietnamese, block fraud referrals from moving forward.

Yes--gross mismanagement in Orange County, California, one of the most politically conservative counties in the nation.  This should come as no surprise, given the history of that county's astonishingly bad financial management, which plunged the county into bankruptcy in 1994--the biggest bankruptcy of any U.S. city up to that time.  Republican politics continues to dominate there and the TEA Party is highly active.. Can we expect more egregious failures to govern sensibly and frugally?

There is a lot of research  strongly suggesting the intellectual superiority of Asians.  Does the apparent success of so many in the Asian-American community in copping these apparently fraudulent benefits simply reflect their intellectual superiority over those responsible for operating the county's housing programs?  To those who childishly use the silly label, "Dumbocrats," I suggest consideration of another name for Orange County's gummint officialdom:  "Republicretins."

Sorry tender, this goes on all over the country and among all races. As to their intelligence, doesn't seem like much is needed when they are handed all they need to commit the fraud, and then the ones that should be in charge, or policing the programs, turn their backs, or get in on, said fraud. Why aren't their a**** deported?

Best, you seem to be laboring under the misconception that all or most of these predominantly Asian housing recipients are not American citizens.  The Federal Section 8 program requires states to follow certain requirements, including this:

<<<Only  U.S. citizens and certain categories on non-citizens who have eligible immigration status are able to participate in the program. Non-citizen students are ineligible for benefits. It is not necessary that all residents in the household be citizens, just the applicant. Your local Public Housing Authority (PHA) should be able to provide you with citizenship details. In any event, non-citizens will be required to show documentation of their immigration status and eligibility for citizenship.">>>

If this thing had happened in Massachusetts or some other dominantly Democratic state, you and the other wingers on this forum all would have eagerly jumped all over  the issue as something that happens when that party gains control of local gummint.

Not laboring under anything. I forgot democrats don't have any sense, common or otherwise, at all, or you'd know what I meant.  The rest of your garbled post has no bearing at all on the subject, which is FRAUD in the government housing program. Does not matter one bit who is or who isn't eligible, on paper anyway, for government housing. All races, legal and non legal are in the middle of the fraud.  Massachusetts? The state that used taxpayer money to support the terrorist bombers and their family, some of which are still living there while they openly threaten to bomb other folks?

I just have one question.  Do you deny that the following is true?

If this thing had happened in Massachusetts or some other dominantly Democratic state, you and the other wingers on this forum all would have eagerly jumped all over  the issue as something that happens when that party gains control of local gummint.

The Sisters Tsarnaeva have been nothing but trouble. Double, bubbling trouble.

While their Boston Marathon bomber brother Dzhokhar awaits trial this month for the bloody 2012 attacks that killed three and injured hundreds, his elder Chechen immigrant siblings Ailina and Bella remain on the loose in the U.S. after their own frequent run-ins with the law.

Last week, Ailina was arrested in Harlem after allegedly threatening “to blow up her live-in lover’s baby mama,” as the New York Post reported. Police charged Ailina, 23, with aggravated harassment and released her.

Will the legal system learn? Ailina’s time in America sends one clear message: No consequences. More trouble.

In 2013, she was released without bail in South Boston in connection with a three-year-old counterfeiting case. Prosecutors said she obstructed their investigation. They charged her with willfully lying to police in 2010.

She skipped bail in 2011. Upon turning herself in last year after the Boston bombing, she told the court she was indigent, pregnant and a single mother with one other child. The case was dismissed.

She has bounced between shelters and shabby apartments shared with sister Bella.

Bella, 25, is a high school dropout and also a single mother. She arrived in the U.S. with jihadi brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan and sister Ailina in 2003. The family received a plethora of immigration and welfare benefits.

In December 2012, she was arrested and charged with marijuana possession and distribution. Both of her brothers were also tied to illegal drug activity.

Now-dead brother Tamerlan (killed in the post-Boston Marathon bombing shootout) was posthumously implicated in a horrific 2011 triple-murder in Waltham, Mass., that authorities believe was drug-related.

The sisters have visited their jihadi cult celebrity sibling Dzhokhar in jail, where he reportedly “joked” about federal restrictions on the visits. The Tsarnaev clan’s callous attitude and moocher culture run in the family.

Mother Zubeidat, who radicalized eldest son Tamerlan in Islam, fled the country after being charged with shoplifting from a Lord and Taylor department store in Natick, Mass., in June 2011.

There is still an outstanding bench warrant for her arrest. She has continued to badmouth America from the comfort of her home in Russia, despite accepting years of tax-subsidized housing vouchers and other entitlements.

At least bitter, rabble-rousing Zubeidat and her husband, Anzor, had the minimal decency to remove themselves from our country. Jobless troublemakers Ailina and Bella seem to have no compunction about continuing to burden America, while offering nothing positive or constructive in return.

Their parents exploited our fraud-ridden asylum system, thumbed their noses at the law and passed on a culture of entitlement and criminality to their children.

If our public officials still value America, what are these worthless women still doing on our soil? Entry into this country is a privilege, not a right. Nor should this privilege be irrevocable and interminable.

Oh, and last time I checked, Emma Lazarus’ poem did not read: “Give me your grifters, your shoplifters, your bloodthirsty Muslim bombers yearning to abuse freedom in the name of Allah.”

In addition to the latest incident in New York, Ailina Tsarnaeva is scheduled to go before a judge in November in Boston, where she’s facing jail time for allegedly lying to police investigating a counterfeit money ring back in 2010.

While she isn’t charged with passing fake bills, police say Tsarnaeva knows the identities of those behind the operation but misled investigators. A warrant was issued for her arrest last year when she skipped a court appearance, but in October 2013, she was released on $1,500 bail — though she was too broke to pay it. Her attorney, George Gormley, told the court she was “practically speaking, indigent,” and the court instead allowed her to check in weekly with a Massachusetts probation officer in lieu of posting bond.

In a brief interview, Gormley declined to comment on the case or his client, except to say that he is not representing her on the New York charge. According to court filings, Tsarnaeva is being represented by Legal Aid, an organization that works with clients who can’t afford to retain a lawyer. On Tuesday, her attorney, Susan Marcus, told the court her client did not have the means to post bail. She called the claims of harassment "uncorroborated."

Besides details that show up in court filings and small snippets of gossip and family photos that have been leaked out through friends and a network of online supporters of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in recent months, little is known about the daily lives of the Tsarnaev family in the aftermath of the bombings. Associates say Tsarnaev’s sisters have faced death threats, and their connection to the case has made it difficult for them to find work. It’s unclear how they pay the bills.

For more than a year, the Tsarnaeva sisters shared an apartment in New Jersey, but at some point in recent months, Ailina and her two toddlers moved in with another familiar face caught up in the Boston drama: Katherine Russell, the 25-year-old widow of Tamerlan Tsarnaev who also remains under scrutiny in the bombing investigation.

OH BOO FREAKING HOO!!

For their part, Tsarnaev’s parents, Anzor and Zubeidat, remain in Dagestan, Russia. They have said repeatedly that they want to come back to the United States to visit their son in jail, but so far they have not. Zubeidat Tsarnaeva has told reporters she fears being detained on an outstanding arrest warrant for a 2012 shoplifting charge in Boston. The threat of arrest, she says, could keep her from attending her son’s trial.
