I think we support them while they are fighting,but we don't back them when they are no longer fighting and drawing very small pennies off the tax payer. we call them the homeless when we should be calling them heros our Veterans who served.

Pretty good evidence that All armies are forgotten when the fighting ends. This may be the first time in history that taxes were cut, veterans benefits were cut, and the armed forces was all volunteer.

I agree with you on this one Ed. It's not just when we forget about the vets. We do the same thing to career service men and women whenever Congress decides to "downsize" the military. Puts a lot of good people on the street without a job. There are many things we could do better for our vets.
