Isn't this interesting .. Government workers with these great Cadillac Health plans wanting exemptions from Democratic Healthcare.  Add to that Unions and most others that had not problem electing the people who forced this upon everyone else.  Seems their happy letting all those who didn't want it in the first place be obliged to and forced to be under it.

Every Senator, Representative, Government Employee and President him/herself should have to be under this plan, forced and manditory.  If it's good enough to FORCE it on us then they should have to deal with it too but note the IRS knows best whats coming and wants no part of it.  That should tell everyone else a lot.

Just remember when all this hits and how it effects you personally WHO IT WAS that enacted it and forced this upon us.   GOOD or BAD the Democrats own this and solely are responsible for it.

So Crash, you do not find it troubling (in the least) that when a legislator proposes a bill that will force the IRS and other government employees who are tasked with implementing this monstrosity, that these government employees want no part of it?  Does it not trouble you that even the people who will eb enforcing the rules find this government mandate troublesome?

But there is something wrong with a government program that is "mandatory", yet the government organizations and legislators refuse to be a part of it.

I too think there was a reason for the UnAffordable Healthcare Act, but lets face it, there was never a case of a "broken arm" sending someone into bankruptcy.  There has been programs set in place for the past decades to make sure people got the care if they needed it. Insurance rates have skyrocketed and I am all for control of these rates, as well as allowing children to remain on the parent's policy until they are self sufficient, but I am not sure how you can justify a program that mandates you to purchase a product, and then provides loads of tax money to provide an insurance plan for people that in most cases will be worse than Medicaid. The only input they sought for revamping the healthcare system were from egghead academicians who had little to no experience in dealing with community problems.  Therefore, most of the resources will be directed to large academic centers.

Like I said, it is not that I feel there was not room for some form of government of intervention, but if I have a cut, hand me a Bandaid, not a piece of sandpaper.

as has been stated at least a dozen times... there has to be a "starting point"... and instead of trying to help and formulate solutions, all any republican has done, is fight to remove all the parts of the aha that HELP. how about offering a viable alternative? remember when the two parties couldn't agree on something and COMPROMISED?

psst...hey! Wobblehead. Try and pay attention.

The topic is about Gov'ment, Unions, etc wanting (whining) to stay OUT of Obamacare.

N'kay?

It was, after all, passed by DEMS....BEFORE they read it...

Looks as if they (Congress and Congressional workers) are going to get their Democratic Healthcare Plan (A.K.A. Obamacare) exemption while the rest of us are under it, put under it by the same exempted Congress making it MANDATORY for us.

I guess they passed it then found what was actually in it and therefore they want no part of it.  Good or Bad EVERYONE should vote based upon the outcome and effect of it.  If Good then vote Democratic and put more of them in or if Bad then replace all of them for the plan was 100% Democratic from start to finish.  The sure sign of desperation though is when they start trying to shove it off on Republicans as if it was their idea in the first place.

The question that should be on everyone's mind these days is IF it's SO GOOD then WHY is EVERYONE that knows about it from Congress to the IRS workers to the Unions wanting EXEMPTED from it?

That is the original question. Simple, yet you see what the wobble headed Libtards response has been here. Standard "sheeple" whining "yadda....yadda  Repubs! yadda....yadda....yadda."

Pathetic...

I worked out of a union hall for 23 years, When I started,we paid about one dollar per hour for good insurance, and if we were able to work a lot of overtime, we could build up 18 months insurance.  Now, it costs about six dollars per hour and does not cover as much.  However we pay for insurance with pretax money.  If we don't work much, we have to pay out of our pocket.  Would someone please tell us where we can get health insurance for 3 or 4 hundred dollars a month.
