Um, I believe that driving a car does not explicitly include Jesus, and therefore excludes Jesus. Also, the driving of cars was not mentioned in the Bible at all.

Therefore, by this logic, driving a car is dangerous to a soul (let alone to any nearby pedestrians – a class of person often mentioned in the Bible).

Ban all cars!

Read Revelation’s, all those stories about the lake of fire.

Of course, a Christian will tell you that God doesn’t send anyone to hell, but that we doubters actually choose to go there. I don’t think even the biggest fool in the world would ever choose such a place to go to.

Anyone who dies without believing those stories in the Bible, even though they are a decent human being that would never intentionally hurt anyone, they will spend an eternity in a place where the fire never dies, & Christians call it JUSTICE.

I sometimes wonder why anyone would want to worship a God that would design & carry out such an eternal nightmare on their fellow human beings.

As a child, those scriptures in Revelations & most of the Bible were the cause of many nightmares.

I can only imagine. I feel that it is cruel to teach that to children. Why give a child such a horrible thought and scar their young minds like that? Also the guilt that is put upon children of religious parents. Seems awful.

Dark, I think you are lying when you express concern for what is being taught to children by their parents.

I think if you will admit it you are not in control of your mental faculties.

You have a personality disorder and you are trying to project your demons to someone else.

You hope, by this ploy, to have yourself in the company of like less than human atheist who will sympathize with you.

Atheist are the tool of choice because they hate everyone and will run with anyone who will cause trouble for some who believes in God.

I know a man who tortured his son to become an atheist and was successful. Thank goodness the godly mother prevented the other son from becoming one. Atheism is a form of child abuse. Atheist have used children to as scapegoats to further the atheist agenda. They dont care about children they want to kill the off at birth.

This post is a perfect example of someone who hasn't a clue what he is talking about.

I'll say it again, there's far more evidence for God, than the absence of God.

.

There is no evidence for the absence of anything, including God. To say that there is reveals the ignorance of the writer. The fact is that there is zero evidence for the existence of God. None. Zero, Nada. The argument really ends unless the believer can offer some evidence. Otherwise, it is just idle talk with no basis in reality. The reason the religious folks here cannot provide any evidence is that none exists.

If I said "well there's stuff" i'd be walking with a limp right now.

I said what I said many times before about many different topics

and you and everybody else rejected almost all I have posted.

Invic, If you want to believe in a fairy tale sky daddy, that is your right. To teach a small child that there is this all mighty creator that will send you to a place of torture and torment for eternity if you sin is a form of mental and emotional abuse. Kids raised in that atmosphere are more likely to rebel as teens.

I have never seen you present any evidence for the existence of God. Evidence! Not what you feel in your heart. If Christians were honest they would say that they have no proof at all but they want to believe in a higher being because it makes them feel better about life. I actually can respect that.

I will not stand before a God and answer to anything so your attempt to scare me is a huge fail. Don't waste your time with that kind of tactic. It is just silly.

Dark reamer

Let's be quite honest here. You are demanding some proof of God; I'll make it easy on you. Provide proof of anything. You cannot do it. You cannot prove other than by your faith in some measuring device that an observed property is anything but the product of the act of measuring.

I know that proposition is beyond your comprehension but it is quantum physics as we know it.

Yes the 6k package w/instructions should do the job just fine for you.

Hrm. And yet, a few posts back you attempted to use a tree as proof of God.

So, you cannot decide whether (A) the existence of a tree is proof of something; or (B) nothing can be proven.

Well, at least you're consistent in your inconsistency?

That's certainly been my experience. Most of the Buddhists I've ever encountered have focused on wisdom and compassion for their spiritual belief, rather than world domination.

From my limited experience with Buddhism I would have to agree with the focus.  Peace and wisdom.

I believe you get my prize for the day for Post With Most Inaccuracies, Incorrect Generalizations, and Nastiness, and Lies.  I guess I'm going to have to shorten that title, but congratulations!!!!

Meditation is just an mental exercise. Basically focusing the mind while ignoring distractions. Who couldn't use more of that? Plus it's scientifically proven to be beneficial to any practitioner. It's no more anti-Christian or pro-Buddhist, or whatever than is jogging or a healthy diet.

P.S. The next time I see a raving, angry, destructive, hateful Buddhist will be the first time.

Why is it dangerous to a soul to simply clear your mind of stress and anger, frustration, and anxiety and breathe....focus on something peaceful, center yourself, and lower your blood pressure, pulse, open up your arteries, condition your mind and body to release tension and react from a place of peace and love instead of anger or whatever else the day might have brought as a challenge?

If I do that every day it still leaves time for prayer...?
