Think before you answer, Christmas was created by the Roman Church to satisfy pagin holidays regarding the rebirth of the sun. I think in the 4th century.
"Christmas" as such is a religious holiday so I would expect christians to celebrate it. But we don't celebrate the religious aspects of it. If they did away with it I wouldn't miss it, but that's not going to happen so we participate in it to a certain extent, Santa, the food, gift giving, etc. I posted on another thread why we do what we do at Christmas. It didn't start out as Christmas, but that's what christians evolved it into, so final answer, as of now it is religious.quote:Originally posted by themax:

Since you asked, themax, I celebrate Christmas as a time to give to others as God has given and continues to give to me...a time to reflect on the events surrounding the birth of Christ in particular, rather than how we reflect in a more general sense daily...a time for family and friends to gather, enjoy and be thankful for the gift of each other.
