The lack of humility is a recurrent problem-especially around this forum. it's difficult if not impossible to reason with anyone who is boastful, full of pride and unable to humble oneself to allow for others to have their own voices.
Let's raise our glass and toast to everyone humbling themselves..just a smidge?!

But, this affliction is nothing that a good dose of the Holy Spirit cannot heal. Give God a try. He really is head and shoulders above anything you can find in the world. And, His eternal retirement package is fantastic.

Since you’ve never said “Good morning! Have a nice day!", then you will never know what kind of response you would get.

You’re always spouting negative, so I must presume you honestly choose to always live in the negative. Since this affliction can be made better with a good dose of the Holy Spirit, then I suggest you try to get some. You should give God a REAL try.

And I don't like his tendency to call people he knows are Christians, cultists or worse when he disagrees with what they say.

BUT, I believe, as Bluetick said, that he means well. There was a time when I accused Bill of working for Satan, because it seemed to me he was driving people away from God.

I would like to make a public apology for that. Bill loves the Lord, and I know he would truly like to see all people saved. I ask your forgiveness, Bill.

So yes, I consider Bill a friend. I am certain we will disagree, sometimes hotly, again on this forum. But I also know that Bill wishes me well, and I wish him well, and as a fellow Christian, he is my friend.

How can Bill mean well, when he says the things he says? A Christian should never attack the way he does or judge others so harshly. A friend doesn’t treat friends the way he does. I’ve read some of the things he has said to you & they weren’t something a friend would say. If Bill is the picture of what a friend is, I don’t want any.

Bill has responded to a couple of post here since yours but sadly, he hasn’t responded to yours or even accepted your apology. What does that tell you?

I apologize for the post. It was a knee jerk reaction.
I don't think call-out threads help anyone.
I may not like a posters opinions but I just don't see where getting a "gang" to bash the poster helps anything.
I have called in reinforcements on the politics side to help bolster positions when I was out numbered, but I just don't believe in ganging up on a forum against one particular poster, no matter how unpopular they seem. I can try to argue and at times even get "personal" without the help of my forum "friends"(I am kind of like Invictus in that regard, I don't really have any!!! Big Grin)
Just my opinion about "call out threads" and I should not have stated it about this particular post the way I did in calling this post sick. I am sorry.

Thank you, apology accepted. Smiler
This wasn’t intended to get a gang to bash anyone. Bill gets on here shouting his message of hate, how we’re all going to Hell & opens himself up for any kind of response.

Bill is very judgmental toward us all, always preaching how he knows the Bible & no room for anything else. After all that rudeness & judging, he always end his post in a God Bless & that seems like Blasphemy to me. I was honest in my curiosity of how others see him.

That he probably missed it?

I have a lot of friends with whom I disagree. Sometimes we disagree hotly. There's a guy who comes into my shop, for example, whose politics are completely opposite of mine. We have had such nasty disagreements on occasion that we were YELLING at each other, and one time it got so nasty I had to ask him to leave.

And yet, when my shop should be open and he doesn't see my car out front, he always calls to make sure I'm alright. When the holidays come around, I am always invited to spend them with him and his family.

To me, a friend isn't someone I always agree with. A friend is someone who will always have my back. And Bill, even though I disagree with him often, I'm sure would have my back if I ever needed help.

His WAY of trying to help people know God may not always work, but I do know that he really wants everyone to know God.

He's a pain in the neck sometimes, just like some of my other friends, but he is a friend regardless.
Yes reluctantly I consider Bill a friend.
One of his last posts to me I think he really sincerely thinks he needs to save me.(I think).
I know he attacks my religion all the time. And he doesn't think I'm a Christian but, as a
Christian I have to think. What would Jesus say? Jesus loves everyone regardless. I have a
hard time with the love part but, well mabey someday. I believe he is a Christian in his own
hard nosed way. I no I can be real mean to him also but, well never mind. I know he's
rotten to almost everybody but, like Bluetick let us dig real deep and see the good that he
might have.

Keep Marching,
Skippy Smiler

ONo,,,,,,,I can't say bills not a friend, but I have different sections of friends.

Bill will lie to hurt someone, to gain a majority against the person. I've caught
him in too many lies, and his reasons for it was for your own good is just
another lie.

If you lie to push your point, you have no point. his out of control hate
shows the bigotry of the mentally ill.

So I don't have to judge him (not by me) or have anything to do with him.
But I do have to forgive him, and I've done that already because it has
nothing to do with me any longer.

His sacrilegious and blasphemous lies and statements are against God, not me.

Well, it's the day after.
I still have RUM...and "Mrs. Cage" just brought in a 1/2 gallon of vodka (Sunday Bloody Mary's?) and the same amount of bourbon...

I have pondered the word "friend" as asked by this thread...well, actually, I didn't spend much time in thought on it...just...now.

Were I to be able to recognize each one of you on sight, and say...I saw you in "trouble", and there was something I could do to help...I suppose I would...even that twit, Opie...or, God help me...Jimi...although the more time spent together could possibly lead to an "ass whoopin' ".

Now, given that statement...I don't think I would "befriend" ya'll enough to give you my bank account number...

So, I guess you could say I consider Bill a friend...

Hi Chick,

Just came on the Religion Forum a few minutes ago, so, let me say to you, in all sincerity, although a wee bit belated since it is early afternoon in Sunny California, "Good morning! Have a wonderful day!!"

And, yes, I did see O No's post and I appreciate her attitude and her apology; although I never felt that she owes me an apology. We are Friends who often disagree; however, Friends can often agree to disagree -- without antagonism and without division. Yes, O No and I do, at times, toss barbs at one another; but, I still consider her my Friend.

By the way, in your Poll, the FRIENDS are overtaking the FRUMPS. Time for you to do more campaigning!!

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Hi Vic,

To you, when I tell you that the Roman Catholic doctrine of Mariology is not Biblical; when I tell you that the Roman Catholic doctrine of the Eucharist is not Biblical; when I tell you that the Papal Succession doctrine is not Biblical -- you consider that a lie.

Not true, my Friend. Without the use of the Apocrypha and without isolating specific Scripture verses and twisting them -- virtually none of the Roman Catholic traditions, doctrines, and dogmas are Biblical.

If this is what you call lying -- then, I suppose, in your eyes, I am a liar. For, I will stand on Biblical truths instead of man-made traditions every time.

Other than that, I challenge YOU to show me any post where I have lied.

And, I have NEVER written anything to hurt another. However, if one comes on the Religion Forum spouting false, untrue, or cultic doctrines such as Mariology, Mormonism, New Age, or other such false teachings -- I will refute them. That is not writing to hurt anyone; only to protect the truth -- not Bill Gray's truth -- but, the Bible's Truth.

It is sad that you cannot take a Biblical stand for your beliefs -- without always defaming and denigrating persons who disagree with your religion.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Good afternoon, Bill, I hope you're having a wonderful day. The weather here is beautiful!

Campaign for what? I was curious how many people here thought of you as a friend & evidently, even though you're rude & hateful, you do have friends here. Smiler

I have friends that I disagree with too but I would never yell at them nor they me. I have friends that can be a pain in the neck but I just choose not to associate with them as much as the ones that are not a pain to be around.

I have one friend that see's negative in everything around her. If I ever wanted to be depressed, she's the one I would call.
Another friend likes to constantly talk about people, & not in a kind way. I would be there in an instant if either one needed me but they're not the ones I call to have lunch or a fun time with. Smiler

Hi Chick,

Considering that atheists, secularists, New Age, Mormon, other cults, and a bevy of vanilla-flavored non-believers who are actively posting -- outnumber the Christian believers who actively post by at least 5 to 1, or more -- I consider this more than a dead heat, it is a victory. But, not for me -- for the Word of God which I will continue to share.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Sorry Bill, but I don't think God would consider it a victory. Not when your preaching is a turn off to people. The Word is supposed to draw people, not run them off.

So you consider people that don't care for you frumps? Whatever the hell that is. Then wonder why you're not that well liked? I wonder how many wonderful "facebook" friends got to vote. Do the math, kinda strange so many voted with so few posting. Ah well, another little "fire" bill thinks he's extingushed. Wink wink.
