Documented gang member arrested for assaulting an officer at Trump rally

Its been three days since the Trump rally in Fresno, however, police are still tracking down violent protesters.

With help from videos, investigators are able to identify assault suspects.


Police say a man in white a white shirt seen in a video posted online was trying to wrestle a baton from officers. They said he also taunted law enforcement, yelling obscenities and even punching an officer twice before running away.

After reviewing video from social media, news outlets, and body cameras investigators identified the man as 24-year old Rigoberto Vera.

Vera is a documented gang member. He was arrested Monday, provided a full confession to the crimes, then apologized.

Vera is charged with assaulting and attempting to disarm a peace officer.
