Science seeks. Science will continue to seek as long as there is life on earth. I am glad science seeks. Can you show me anything anywhere that says rep u t a ble scientists are trying to prove or disprove a god? That's not what science does. Thank goodness science seeks. I'd hate to think what shape we'd be in if it didn't.

You are correct working girl the atheist idiots have thought all along scientists are trying to disprove God.

that’s never been the case. You are the first idiot on here that has had the balls to admit it though.

Scientists run from you fools. There are some scientist who claim they don’t believe in God but they are lying. It’s the pierre cardin thing to do in a university setting.

Yes tom in the classical sense man is made from dirt [minerals] . What did you imagine him built out of Einstein? The Bible stated that some 6k years ago. The Bible is the source of all science. I noticed somebody in knee socks allowed that immediately after the big bang there was nothing but photons in the universe. DUH!!! Genesis told us that some 6k years ago.

No doubt your question stems from the statement in scripture:

Genesis 2:7 (NIV)
{7} the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Essentially the same thought is presented in the following verse as well:

Ecclesiastes 12:7 (NIV)
{7} and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

The Bible uses symbolism as well as literal interpretations.  The indication of both verses, and the statement that man is formed from the dust of the ground addresses just one part of what it is to be human.  The second part is man/woman's inner spirit/soul which is created.  The flesh, physical part, of the human man/woman is formed from other flesh but essentially is physical elements that upon physical death returns to those elements or returns to dust.  As far as attempting to explain actual creation of a man from the dust (elements) of the earth the key to understanding and comprehending this is "The LORD GOD Formed" (Created).  God is not human nor is limited by human limitations or restrictions but God's power is beyond possible human understanding and His ways are not our ways.  The flesh/physical dies and returns to the elements but what should matter to each person is that the spirit/soul continues on past death and is eternal and has an eternal destiny determined by God's Judgment.

Many have denied that such exist or happens and that upon death it is just lights out.  Problem is if you then, at that time, find that it isn't lights out but existence past death but no longer under your control or ability to change or alter your eternal fate at that point.  On another thread/topic there was a discussion about Near Death Experiences of several Atheist who, some, were hostile to God and religion yet after their NDE and were brought back turned their life around and changed their direction.  Many became preachers but none retained their dogmatic insistence that there is nothing after death but lights out.  They testified that, at least for them, there was something other than lights out.  Each person will ultimately find out themselves, when in their spirit/soul but no longer will they have words at their disposal for their bodies will have perished and no longer are they able to speak or make decisions.  They are bound by the decisions that they made on faith, while alive and able.  Exercising faith that Jesus Christ bore their sins and justified them from God's Judgment upon their sins and sinfulness or faith that no God exist and that it just ends.  We all exercise faith though but the difference is what we chose to have faith in.

So insane one, the bible was already here when the earth was created in your "6000" year old earth opinion? Numbskulls, the lot of you.

January 17, 2001 -- Scientists are drawing a portrait of how Earth looked soon after it formed 4.56 billion years ago, based on clues within the oldest mineral grains ever found.

Tiny zircons (zirconium silicate crystals) found in ancient stream deposits indicate that Earth developed continents and water -- perhaps even oceans and environments in which microbial life could emerge -- 4.3 billion to 4.4 billion years ago, remarkably soon after our planet formed.

GBRK you genius, isn’t it wonderful that the simple wording in the bible made sense to all ages.

A mud pie man concept of man made complete sense to the non scientific people 6k years ago as it does to us today with our knowledge of minerals and elements. A mudpie man fits in nicely today. Another proof of Gods genius and His existence.

The Bible tells us nothing about the way God created the Earth except that he created it. We as Christians also believe that God created the Universe, again we don’t know how it was done. Maybe it was a Big bang that he used to create the Universe. Maybe it wasn’t. Know one except he knows for sure. I think that certain elements of mater and energy always existed in some form or another. God used these materials to manipulate to useful forms of mater and energy. I believe in science and that that our God and His Son Jesus Christ are the Masters over Science and all things. I believe that there are other Universes. God created this one but He and the material for this one had to have come from somewhere. We can’t be alone in this Universe. I believe God has created countless worlds and other peoples that occupy these worlds. I believe our Earth though is very special (and not special in a bad way). This is the only world that he has sent his only begotten Son Jesus Christ as not only our Savior but as our Lord and King. Yes I believe in evolution but not the evolution of man. Early man was ape. We are human.

Skippy

gb, Did you notice that the atheists all stayed clear of the NDE post.

Best brushed it off and the others won't touch it.

Not even some Christians will investigate them. I've posted accounts

of NDE many times and no one wants to know about it.

This is just one more thing God does for you to believe, you can't say

he isn't constantly trying to save as many as possible.

Wul w/gurl I thought you athest dudes thought that could be done in the lab or by accident. Guess I was wrong.

The first man was made of inert minerals [dirt] then the Bible says the next people were formed from living cells. How genius. All one has to do is study the Bible for the concept then science has all the fun chasing it around. And the atheit spends all their time denying it. How cool is that? NOT COOL.LOL

Invictus, I didn't "stay clear" of anything. We've been over this a hundred times. NDE is stupid to say the least. What YOU brush off is the fact that a person's religion, the area of the world they live in, their superstitions, their idea of heaven, determines what they "see".  NDE has been debunked but you still persist so what reason is there to keep going back to it? Go cut the grass and have an experience for yourself.

Since they thought by many is that evolution is at play, with life, I suppose it could be theorized that children could play in the dirt and create a human from dirt and clay.  Following that same logical reasoning one could deduce then, scientifically given the DNA and natural progression of the species and the evidence of their thinking processes that cats can scratch around in the sand and create atheist?

What do the scientists believe about the origin of life?

Actually, they haven't got a clue.

I'll go with the Bible until they come up with a better explanation.
