Hi Skippy,
Regarding your claim to be the "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints," aka Mormon church: We read in Matthew 24:4-5, "And Jesus answered and said to them, 'See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, "I am the Christ," and will mislead many.'"
You see, Skippy, long before your cult church was dreamed up by Joseph Smith; Jesus Christ had already warned us of its coming -- and of the false Jesus Christ it would preach.
As we are told in Ecclesiastes 1:9, "There is nothing new under the sun." There were false Christs in His day -- and there are false Christs in our day. The Mormon church being the most prominent for it tries to wear His name.
God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,
Bill
Oh Bill where do I start?
Haven’t had a good banter with you for a while.
No one in my Church claims or ever has claimed or ever will claim to be Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ's name is born on our Church because he re-established his Church after
His Church disappeared in the dark ages. It is a Church of order, and a Church of the
Priesthood. A Church of Ordinances and Authority. Joseph Smith made up nothing.
The time of the Restoration of the Church was a trialed time of many Churches
teaching different things. God was a God of Order in the Old Testament and did not
change, for he can not. He is Eternal following Eternal Laws that you and I can't totally
understand. He created this Universe, this Earth. He created us and everything on
this Earth. We do not teach of a false Christ but of the Christ and his Father.
There is nothing new under the Sun. God Can not be one thing then change.
Christ, unlike you teach is of flesh and bones like his Father.
Luke:24
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself:
handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
This scripture indeed says that Christ has Flesh and Bones.
Luke:24
51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and
carried up into heaven.
This scripture tells us that He Christ was carried up unto Heaven. No Transformation
from Flesh and Bones to Spirit. But as a Glorified Body.
Luke:24
53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
This scripture tells us of the importance of the Temple in Jerusalem to the Disciples.
After the creation of Christ's Church upon this Earth. Otherwise they wouldn't
have even recognized the Temple anymore. Yet they were continually in the Temple
praising our Lord Jesus Christ.
And again Bill your beliefs are faulty from the beginning.
I'm sorry to bring up the no rain thing before Noah again.
Genesis 1
6¶And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide
the waters from the waters.
This tells us that created the air between the waters, with the clouds(water) in the sky.
And the seas below.
firmament
fir·ma·ment
[fúrməmənt]
1. | sky: the sky, considered as an arch (literary) |
Gen 1
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the
firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
Gen 1
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he
Seas: and God saw that it was good.
God acts with the laws of nature and the laws of physics which are the same. Yes there's
a lot we don't know but moisture(water) creates precipitation. It Rained before Noah.
Just the geology of this earth proves that with erosion.
