Blame ourselves for the condition of our country. We all complain about Congress, but we keep re-electing the criminals.

Vote against all incumbents (either party) in the next election. Even if there are a couple of decent Congresspersons (oxymoron?) that get removed with the rest, it is worth to remove the cancer on our country. The newly elected will be fully aware that their job performance will determine their ability to avoid the same fate.

If Congress won't implement term limits, voters can do it for them.

A classic catch-22.
People think nothing can be done, so they do nothing, and nothing is done, thereby reinforcing the idea that nothing can be done.
I've been voting independent for years, I don't know how many times I was told "you're wasting your vote". From the looks of things, I don't think it's me who's wasting their vote.
