Don't tell Dr Beherends, but if she were to consolidate ALL the schools- Weeden, BurrelL, Hibbett, Harlan, Handy, Forrest Hills, Florence Middle, Freshman and High -before she leaves, what a legacy she will leave!
Heck, why stop there! Since Coffee and Bradshaw were so successful, consolidate all the Quad Cities and county Schools- now THAT would leave a legacy!

Yeah...I've said the same thing for years with regards to the Quad-Cities' emergency services combining...but which superintendents are going to yield the 'power' they currently wield? You could have ONE superintendent and several assistant superintendents, but WHO would be #1? Egos win out over expediency.

Guarantee you that is a good idea. The problem would be one of egos just like you said. It is a shame that the entire region of the Quad Cities could not be one Metropolitan Area. Just too many talking heads for that to happen,
