Fire, this has been pointed out to them so many times, and yet these "people of reason", refuse to acknowledge the reasonableness and common sense of what you just wrote.

Who doens't know that stories change?  Did you ehar that, Ono?  YOU ARE RIGHT.

But what if I heard this story and added that there was an explosion of a propane tanker nearby yet three other stories didn't include that?  What it I said it was attended by 10,000 people but another story says 100.  Perhaps that just a typo or perhaps my story was wrong.

In the Gospels, two version have a virgin birth. Two say nothign about it.  Why in the world would somone leave out such a vitally important fact?  One could conclude that there was no virgin birth which happens to coincide with "reason" and the laws of the universe. From that, we can assume that someone slipped that part in trying to bolster a new religion.  We see that all the time in modern times.

There are so many other blatant examples of oversights and pure fiction entered into these books that it is only "reasonable" to suspect they are probably a few men's attempt at writing some literature and inserting their own facts.  No harm in that--unless it turns into a religion that has caused untold misery to million of people and causes even smart folks to believe in fairy tales.

Another shining example of Xtian "reason."

Nash, you can "suspect" one person or another wrote it.  You can "assume" it was written by X or Y.  But you cannot know because is was written ANONYMOUSLY

And therefore, unless you want to sound like an idiot, you cannot say what you have been clamming here: That the books were certainly written by the people they are attributed to.  This isn't freaking hard to grasp!

Nope. You're totally missing it. Read slower and don't skim.

You don't believe in any of it anyway, so why is it so VITALLY IMPORTANT to you that you convince we who do believe? We have told you over and over and over and over and over and over and over AGAIN, why it is we believe, and it's not good enough for you. You're NOT going to change anyone's mind, so WHY do you care? Don't you have a life? If THIS is the most important thing in your life, why can't you come up with something different? Don't YOU get bored with yourself? I certainly do.

Welcome to Alabama: Come for the right to be self-righteous, stay for the bizarre analogies relating religious accounts to a Drive-by Truckers show.

It is preposterous to make claims that the historical facts of the New Testament were fabrications and are not true having been recorded only 30to 50 years after the fact. Darwin’s Origin authorship is speculation at this point. Nobody living saw him write it. Perhaps space aliens wrote it . There is always some persuasion arguing against the undeniable genuineness of the historical Bible and always be. They all eventually fail. Anyone that has doubts about the existence of God are certainly free to challenge anyone’s position that There is a God but you will not challenge God himself. God is not mocked.
