NOTICE: George W. Bush has issued Executive Orders allowing the National Security Agency to read this message and all other e-mail you receive or send---without warning, warrant or notice. Bush has ordered this to be done without any legislative or judicial oversight. You have no recourse nor protection save to call for the impeachment of President Bush and other government officials who are involved in this illegal and unconstitutional activity.

I'm totally unconcerned with anyone reading any of my email. They would have to hire a five or six person team just to sort through the massive amount of junk I recieve. Just one of my email accounts has around 10,000 emails.

And my Snail mail, I get a bank statement (has exactly the same $17.45 it had six months ago), coupons from Camel, and about a million credit card apps.

So if my large bank account points to terrorism, we're all in trouble. Or perhaps since my smokes have Turkish tobacco I'm fueling the radicals in that country.

Pssst, PBA, if you had been reading the backlog of posts, there are a few already written about this same subject.
I believe the danger we face from Bush and his arrogant view that he can without due process, read mail, listen to phone calls, etc is a return to McCarthyism . Today, it may be about foreigh terrorist, but tomorrow, it may be about what political point of view you have.
Taken to the extreme , tomorrow you could be arrested because you have a friend, whose cousin once belonged to an orginization that had a member who was married to someone, whose mother was an arab.
Don't forget-- the Patroit act was used by Tom Delay to track down Texas congressmen who wouldn't vote the way he wanted. THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN BACK IN THE 50's, THAT WAS JUST A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO.

Yep! I caught the President checking the tread on my tires the other night. Right there in my driveway. Didn't think he could do that, but I guess it's in the Patriot act. He said he'd read one of my emails saying I was going to have to buy a new set of tires, was bored and decided to see for himself........

I Think the spying thing has went on for years! I don't think it is anything new. Bush more less said hey folks we done it for years, and just want you to know I want to do it too. I put the post up for laughs and I see it got some. lol

I do agree, most people look at it as nothing to worry about, because it won't happen to them, they have nothing to hide remember.

Yep, the government has had the capability to listen in on your phone calls, the ability to moniter your email and web browsing habits, can know what you buy via credit card or bank loan in a matter of minutes...all for a loooooooong time.....don't know why people get their drawers in such a wad...if you're doing wrong, they got you...if not, they ain't interested in you.

You'd think that with the recent surge in reality television and the like, people would be less upset about Uncle Sam looking at their phone bills.

I guess I don't understand why anyone is upset about the President doing all he can to stop terrorism. Can you give me an instance of where an innocent person has been hurt by this?

Is the beef that the government HAS this info or what they are DOING with it??

spying & other cheating via gov't agencies hasn't been going on for years. It's to be expected. Corporations & Gov't have been sleeping in the same beds forever. It's almost as embarrasing to be called "the public" by them as it is to be called that by movie producers. What's the diff?

Did you even reply to my post? What exactly was the point of quoting me if you were just going to talk about something else???

I guess because most people think that everything they do is legal so they don't have anything to worry about... which is true, I think that about myself... And if it were just about terrorism I would not only be COOL about it, I would help them!!!

BUT: WHERE DOES IT STOP??? This is a "give an inch, they take a mile" Administration.
Actually, what I am waiting on is the day it comes out in the paper that they STOPPED terrorism by tapping our phones, and by reading our mail and by watching what we type on the internet....

So far, nothing..... which leads me to believe that all this is just the START of something we are NOT going to want.
