EdEkit in his threads has espoused an extreme left line, that reminds me of the apologists for Stalin in the 40s and 50s. No excuse except true believer syndrome.

Here for all to see is EdEKit's PM's to me from last week:

Myself: To EdEKit: "I didn't ask you. When I want your opinion I will call the warden for permission to speak with you."

That is a pathetic, personal attack. On other forums I go to, when someone posts a question like you asked, most everyone chims in with their knowledge. Hence, what I was doing.

I will remember that next time you ask a question..and leave you flapping in the breeze.

Secondly, as a result of this thread, I have no desire to debate you. You seem to want your cake and eat it to.

ADMIN: you wanted examples, well the above PM is another example in addition to the other example I have already posted for all to see, and what I PM'ed you earlier.

EdEKit, IMHO, is a baiter, pure and simple. I call, in public, that EdEKit be BANNED from the forum. He has insulted me in public, so I call in public for his banning.

Secondly, I state again: ADMIN, clean up the board.

EdKit and e are both just trying to yanking your chain. Maybe the AM won't do anything unless vulgar language is used or racial slurs, slurs against queers, or who knows what she is doing.

No...yanking chains is one thing. I consider this insulting.

Watch out: you might get banned from the NBA for saying the "Q" word...

This place needs a strictly-moderated News forum and a slum "Political" forum for everyone that gets off on this sort of thing. I've seen this setup on a few boards, and it works really well. Some political forums are even password-protected, so only those that really want on get on. What we have right now is a News forum thats doubling as a mishandled political board. It's gotten to where no one can avoid clicking on a thread that's offensive in some form. Those threads inevitably drag in a lot of folks that otherwise would not get involved in the type of crap-flinging that goes on around here.

The reality is that there is far too much crap to wade through for a moderator to handle. TD could enlist the help of some of the users, but that always carries the risk of biased moderation. I really think a separate forum for the folks that want to bite one another's heads off would do the trick.

The Admins of this forum obviously do not have the training to even KNOW how to be an Admin.. it is a shame, really, because this is a GREAT forum, with local people... and the Admins NEED someone to help them KNOW how to handle it...

I just bet that they are new to this, and we are getting upset with them for NOT knowing how to Admin forums... so, therefore, it really isn't their fault, they just need more time to learn and train... AND, they probably have other duties at TD than just watching this board.

I would rather see everyone here just get along... AGREE??? Cool... DISAGREE???? That's cool too... we are not children and we can and SHOULD be able to handle all this ourselves...

Ya know? And if we need the Admin, we can message them... right?

Somehow, I doubt that "jimfromcalif" just happened to stumble upon the TD forum in a random fashion as (presumably) he was surfing the internet on Feb. 16, found this particular exchange on Feb. 16, and then decided it appropriate to critique the admins prior to announcing his departure on Feb. 16. How odd that he singled out this exchange between these two people as well, for there are so many others that exist.

While I cannot argue with his assertion that "their (sic) is (sic) some challenged people here," I would have to suspect that this screen name is an alternative for one of those already among us. Business as usual, I suppose.
