Eric Shawn Reports: How Frank Sheeran killed Jimmy Hoffa

Speaking of unions.

It all started, and ended, on this day 41 years ago.

It was a hot July afternoon, nearly 92 degrees, when Teamsters president and labor icon Jimmy Hoffa is said to have opened the rear door of a maroon 1975 Mercury in the parking lot of the Machus Red Fox restaurant in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. and climbed in.

He was never seen again.

After reading the article I fully believe that this is the ultimate end of Jimmy Hoffa and how it came about.  I think that finally the man that pulled the trigger is known and given the honor code within the mafia, if such exist, the real source of the contract won't be known but could be figured out easily.  Either way all the players are dead now and there will never be justice for the actual Murder.

Hoffa lived by crime and died by crime which happens to most mafia people.  I think most likely Hoffa never know what happened but most likely was like the ending of the Soprano's TV Series where everything just faded to black.  Given that Hoffa was ended by two head shots he most likely never felt a thing or knew anything of what happened.

The most prevailing evidence that convinced me that the guy was telling the truth was when they determined that there was blood stains into the wooden floor and even though a positive DNA match couldn't be obtained given the time that had passed I'm confident in my mind that this was the actual scenario that played out.

I did though find it interesting that the killer tried to send a subtle message to Hoffa that something was amiss in the way they set in the car on the way to the house but as far as he knew Hoffa may have had his own suspicions and being nervous, if he was, may not have picked up on the clues that the killer was sending him.  That's the way it works in the Mafia though your killer may well be your best and closest friend up and until the friend is made an offer he/she couldn't refuse.

Cremation seems far more like their style in making sure that the body and all evidence was no longer able to be found and also very probable given that the mob or members of the mob owned the crematorium.  It could all be done in house without having to hack up the body and send it out to parts unknown.   It's just too bad that sufficient DNA could not be obtained from the floor/boards in order to achieve a 100% documented proof that it was Hoffa's blood.  As I said though, for me, there is enough circumstantial evidence to justify belief that this is how it happened and what happened.

The only surprise to me is that it went down like it did in that Hoffa wasn't killed in the car.  Actually the way this went down, with the exception of how they got rid of the body, mirrors a scene in Goodfellows movie where the character in the movie, played by Joe Pesci (Tommy DeVito in the movie) is killed in a similar way as he enters an empty room of a house where he thinks he's going to become a "made" wise guy only to find out it's a retaliatory hit ordered account of his previous killing of another member of the mob that wasn't sanctioned.
