I haven't seen it, but will certainly be looking for it the next time I'm there.

As for the trees... I remember when Muscle Shoals was greener. There was actually a grass median down the middle of the road and more trees. As Jennifer said, they did "fall victim" to progress, but I certainly remember M.S. and life in general being much better before all the so-called progress.

What do you mean when you say no trees? There are trees all over Muscle Shoals. Which area are you talking about?

The pitifully ugly and basically treeless corridor of Woodward Avenue is one of the worst looking strips of commercially urbanized development anywhere! It is truly a sickening sight.

The trees and wooded areas fell victim to the "growth" of businesses and subdivisions.

No, that's why I ask what area. There are trees where there should be, and where the areas are developed they were cut. I was just wondering where YOU thought they should be.

Talked to my father in law. "Got him started" argggggggg. In a nutshell, MSC was mostly cotton fields and farms in the past, swampy area was around where the airport is, Henry Ford cleared a lot of the land when he was going to build a city somewhere around 2nd Street and Wilson Dam road, that's why the sidewalks are there. Woodward Ave was 2 lane dirt road with trees, houses and little stores along it at one time. Some woods, cleared for the subdivisions. Whew, lot to remember. But there are still plenty of trees around, just not where the businesses and subdivisions built up. That was why I was asking which area were they talking about that had no trees. I see them all over, but of course not down Woodward Ave.
