Facecrime --George Orwell's 1984 Prediction Comes True

Remember the young man, Sandmann, who was accused of smirking at the Phillips, the drumming Indian?  Sandmann stated he simply was smiling so as not to be confrontational.

George Orwell, author of 1984, was a socialist. However, he was blessed/cursed with the need to tell the truth.

"Facecrime, a "Newspeak" term coined in George Orwell's novel 1984, is the crime of exhibiting an improper facial expression. For example, to look incredulous when a state victory was announced.

"It was terribly dangerous to let your thoughts wander when you were in any public place or within range of a telescreen. The smallest thing could give you away. A nervous tic, an unconscious look of anxiety, a habit of muttering to yourself -- anything that carried with it the suggestion of abnormality, of having something to hide. In any case, to wear an improper expression on your face (to look incredulous when a victory was announced, for example) was itself a punishable offence. There was even a word for it in Newspeak: facecrime, it was called."\

This, OTOH, looks like you left your deflection shield on.  Covington Catholic High School isn't a part of the Bureau of Indian Affairs school system.  The only connection with Indians concerning this affair is one, Nathan Phillips, who has a history as an agent provocateur.  Who has an tenuous, at best, connection with the truth.

This appears that you agree with the accusation that the left is attempting to cause discord by changing the language and inventing thought crimes.

Nah, just looks like someone is plagiarizing the work of others. Then spinning it to fit their narrative.

So, you are against the First Amendment?  If so, say it plain.  The kids were at the Lincoln Memorial waiting on their bus. The Black Hebrew Israelis assailed them first, shouting obscenities. Then, Phillips walked in with his drum.  Get it, they were mainly passive bystanders.

Now, you're doing the spinning.

And if the teachers at that school are missing this teachable moment, then they are failing those kids.

Teach them, what?  That they have no rights to peacefully await transportation, since they are wearing MAGA caps?  Would you say the same if they were wearing pro-abortion apparel and put upon by Right to Lifers.  If the teachers did what you say, there is an old word to describe them -- Kapo.

free speech is over used,,, it protects you from government persecution.  It doesn't protect you from others, you boss,, or being sued.  it doesn't mean you have the right to instigate,  harass, call names, lie, etc.

a challenge we have is the left assumes what you are saying...ie; Trump voters are racist,,, wearing the MAGA hat is racist.  Then they call names because of their assumptions.     Assumeing,,, makes an ASS our of U and ME.

However, the law permits civil redress against ones rights in the form of lawsuits and prosecution for threats of violence.

You didn't put a reference link in this post so I googled it.  Found two articles that just so happened, referenced George Orwell's 1984. You got butthurt because you got caught plagiarizing previously plagiarized ideas.  Now you're trying to move the goalposts to save face.  Does that sum it up for you?

I was questioning the logic of what is posted. Please, if you can't understand, get someone smarter to explain it.

What are you referring to?  On this post, I clearly referred to Orwell's 1984!  Concluding that Orwell predicted exactly what socialism would lead to if it continued in the vein it was going.  Clearly, the thought crimes, facecrimes and the rest are happening just as predicted.
