There may be less than meets the eye to President Barack Obama's statements Monday night that NATO is taking over from the United States in Libya and that U.S. action is limited to defending people under attack there by Muammar Qaddafi's forces.
In transferring command and control to NATO, the U.S. is turning over the reins to an organization dominated by the U.S., both militarily and politically. In essence, the U.S. runs the show that is taking over running the show.
Also, the rapid advance of rebels in recent days strongly suggests they are not merely benefiting from military aid in a defensive crouch, but rather using the multinational force in some fashion, coordinated or not, to advance an offensive.

Since you mentioned me ferrellj, I will respond.
I really can't even get upset at FOX NEWS in regards to this report since I am against this military action just like I have been against ALL "nation building". On this front, I think Barrack Obama is starting to look a little like George W. Bush, and that is the WORST thing I can say about ANY politician.
Ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were part of the reason I supported Obama, not adding a new one. I think the best thing we as a country could do is to start defunding the military industrial complex.
So no, I don't care if this comes from Fox or Media Matters, I don't back EVERYTHING this president does just because I am a democrat and align myself with more or the party's positions than I do the republicans. I TRULY wish there were a third or even fourth party which would state their position clearly, elect officials who would stand by their pre-election positions and maintain integrity,
