There may be less than meets the eye to President Barack Obama's statements Monday night that NATO is taking over from the United States in Libya and that U.S. action is limited to defending people under attack there by Muammar Qaddafi's forces.

In transferring command and control to NATO, the U.S. is turning over the reins to an organization dominated by the U.S., both militarily and politically. In essence, the U.S. runs the show that is taking over running the show.

Also, the rapid advance of rebels in recent days strongly suggests they are not merely benefiting from military aid in a defensive crouch, but rather using the multinational force in some fashion, coordinated or not, to advance an offensive.

Of course as rocky will point out this is from Foxnews. He won't dispute any facts, he'll just disregard the whole thing because fox news ran it.

the funniest part of all of this is simply that the libs bashed Bush for years about Iraq. An evil dictator, killing his own people, and ignoring the restrictions put on him many moons ago. Bush actually had Congress approval, and moved forward. He is a war criminal...he is evil.

Now, they don't know what to do when their King Barry is using the same reasons for bombing Lybia...and he even circumvented Congress and launched away. I've seen a few on this thread say they disagree with it...but WHERE IS THE OUTCRY??? You don't see the outcry in the media. You don't see libs starting "Obama is a murderer" threads on this forum. Where is the same distain for this man we saw for Bush?

Since you mentioned me ferrellj, I will respond.
I really can't even get upset at FOX NEWS in regards to this report since I am against this military action just like I have been against ALL "nation building". On this front, I think Barrack Obama is starting to look a little like George W. Bush, and that is the WORST thing I can say about ANY politician.
Ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were part of the reason I supported Obama, not adding a new one. I think the best thing we as a country could do is to start defunding the military industrial complex.
So no, I don't care if this comes from Fox or Media Matters, I don't back EVERYTHING this president does just because I am a democrat and align myself with more or the party's positions than I do the republicans. I TRULY wish there were a third or even fourth party which would state their position clearly, elect officials who would stand by their pre-election positions and maintain integrity,

Cause its not true...too bad for your side.

“No shots were fired,” said Capt. Richard Ulsh, a Marine spokesman aboard the Kearsarge. “The Osprey is not armed, and the Marines barely got off the aircraft. I was in the landing center the whole time, where we were monitoring what was going on, and firing was never reported.”

USMC officials have insisted that despite clims of injuries to Lybian civilians, “no shots were fired” and “no strafing runs were conducted” during the rescue. That word play is misleading–there were no shots fired because there are no guns on the V-22 for self/survivor’s protection (aside from a tail gun of limited utility

The President received approval from Congress for everything that he has done in Libya over a month ago. I know that Raun Paul doesn't remember the vote, but I hoped that you were smarter than he.
