Does anyone miss Famous Daves as much as me? I thought they had a good business going here. The manager told me the rent was to high, but look whats in that building now.

I don't miss em. Don't care for what is there now either.
I thought the brisket was ok. The ribs were overrated in my opinion.
Don't miss them. I wasn't impressed with their food.
First time I ate there the food was excellent,the second and third time it was barely edible.Didn't give them a forth try.
I thought they went down over the years that they were here. I know they are still in Chattanooga & Knoxville but I doubt that they will ever revisit Florence.
I LOVED Famous Dave's...There is one in Nashville (near cool springs galleria, I think) that I need to visit soon!

I also miss Famous Dave's. We ate there a lot and were sad to see them go. Glad to know there are still some around... Maybe we'll be able to try them.
There is one in Franklin, Smyrna, and Hermitage near Nashville. The one in Franklin is probably closest to Florence since it's pretty close to I-65.
Their ribs are pretty good, they don't take the membrane off the back though. The seasoning and sauces are excellent.
It's a shame it didn't last in Florence, I went to that location a few times and thought it was pretty nice for a BBQ place. What's there now?

Famous Dave's is my all-time favorite place to eat. I miss them being in Florence, but we're close enough to the one in Franklin, so we frequent that one.
Love, love, love Famous Dave's. Going to eat lunch Friday at the one in Franklin by Cool Springs Mall. Worth the drive. Already salivating just thinking about their ribs! Wish they would come back to the Shoals.
If we get up to Cool Springs Mall in Nashville we might also consider giving Famous Dave's a try there but when up that close to J Alexander's it's hard to pass up their Chicken Pasta Soup even for great BBQ. Also if I want the "BEST" BBQ then I usually make the trek over to Madison and patronize Thomas's BBQ for to my taste they have the best Pork I've had anywhere.
I liked them. FD's was better than most in this area. Not saying some of you didn't get bad food there, but I never did (10-12 visits).
