When I was a kid in Sheffield, there was a company called "Charles Chips". They delivered potato chips and cookies to homes.

My friend Jimmy's family subscribed, and they always had a big can of chips, and often cookies.

I thought that was so cool.

I must admit I still like Lay's Classic potato chips, but Ruffles will do, especially with salsa.

I remember Charles Chips and cookies. Round yellow and brown cans, right?

You still can get Charlie's Chips both in bags and still in the round metal Tin's. There is but one place that I know of that you can get them though at least as of last April, I haven't checked lately to see if they still have them in stock. Where? ---- Cracker Barrel

The Charles' Chips man came to our house. Looking back, I am surprised my parents went for it. When I came home from school, my snack would be some of those chips, and I'd eat them out of the lid that went on the can. And watch Gilligan.

As a perpetual dieter, I am very happy with the Golden Flake baked chips.

Now that you mention it I might try some crisp cardboard too....
