Hawk-- As noted, The Crab Shack "Where the elite meet to eat in their bare feet!" is excellent. For a slightly more elegant honeymoon experience on island, Two Georges is excellent. There are many excellent restaurants in Savannah, but a low-key favorite of ours is the Greek restaurant, facing the river just across the street from the paddlewheeler's dock. Their menu is fresh, delicious Greek home cooking, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Opa! After, for a fun night out, walk down the street to Kevin Barry's and hang out, listening to Harry O'Donoghue. He is an Irish folk singer and a VERY funny guy who also hosts "The Emerald Isle" on Georgia Public Radio. There's usually a nice mix of Harry-loving locals and tourists. Be sure to save a day for a drive through the low-country. Stop for lunch in Beaufort, SC or pick up something in town for a picnic out on one of the islands. I have to stop now; I'm making myself homesick AND hungry!
The Original Oyster House in Gulf Shores is my all time favorite. We have actually talked about driving to GS just to eat there.
Around here we like Lash's on 101. We like to get it to go (because basically it is a gas station) and drive over to the other side of the dam and just enjoy the water. They have oysters(my fav), shrimp, clams, scallops and a host of other seafoods.
The S*O*B Club (Shrimp & Oyster Bar) in Little Rock. Haven't been in a long while. Hope it's still there. It was in an old warehouse and had antique autos hanging from the rafters with mannequin's in them dressed from the 50-60's, glass brick bars, aquariums in old bubble gas pumps, salad bar in an old boat, live bands in various areas. (Just what we need here! Wink
Without a doubt the best seafood that I have found is right here in the quad city area. GEORGE's has the best Shrimp and Red Snapper than I have found anywhere, including South Carolina and Florida. I've been wanting to try Lash's seafood for I know it's fresh but can't seem to get away from Georges when I want great shrimp.

As for Cod Fish I actually think that Cracker Barrel has a good Fish dinner on Fridays. As for Catfish (although not seafood) I like Swamp Johns best.

That sounds like a cool place!
Pappadeaux in Houston, Texas is the best Seafood (cajun). Around here-I would have to say Landry's in H-ville. Does Red Lobster even qualify as seafood and Captain D's-oh goodness? Just my opinion-but yuck to both of those! I sure do miss having crawfish readily available. We have gotten the xtra large shrimp from Lash's-which I stuffed with pepperjack cheese, wrapped in bacon and grilled-yummy! Not a bad selection out there.
