The Demmies have consistently stated that the recent tax cuts added to the deficits. Wrong! Tax revenue has increased, not decreased since the tax reduction.
For the first 10 months of 2018, the total revenue was $2.812 trillion. For the first 10 months of 2017, the total revenue was $2.809 trillion.
While not a great increase, its in line with the last three major tax cuts, which produced more revenue as the economy improved.
Tax revenue changes, before and after tax cuts (corrected for inflation).
For the eight years after JFK/LBJ cuts – increase of $522.2 billion.
For the eight years after Reagan tax cuts – increase of $2.944 trillion.
For the eight years after Bush tax cuts – increase of $4.788 trillion
