His statement could in fact be true. It depends on where you are looking from. If you are looking from way left then the center would appear to be far right. I can't argue with that fact.

Don't hate them because they're smart. Wink And a little FYI... Fox's hard right leanings forced MSNBC's hand to steer further left. It was a far more balanced news organization before Fox went haywire on the right. But in any event, it's a liberal world now and a liberal future. Or at the very least, a progressive future. Our very country was supposedly founded on liberalism. Maybe it's you who are delusional and misinformed.
Somehow, I doubt it. I see the polls everyday and see how the majority of people are claiming to be moderates, and only about 25% are "liberal" and embrace their ideals. They think they won the WH, but in reality they only claim parts of it, and things are not going their way , so the liberals are trying to make everyone think they should give up, but in reality we are not going to give up and let you guys have "it your way"....not till you pry our dead little hands off the the flag, then you can have it all. Till then, get ready for a fight.

Your history book was different than mine. You must be younger than me. My history book taught that the pilgrims came to the US because of religious persecution in England. Most of the men that wrote the Declaration of Independance were practicing Christians as well. Which leads me to believe our founding fathers were conservative.

Do you understand what religious freedom means?
The terms “liberal” and “conservative” are relative to a standard and therefore change over time as conditions change. For example, if a nation is governed by a monarchy, and there is movement to remove the monarchy and replace it with a democratic government, those individuals supporting the movement would be labeled “liberal.” (The term liberal originates from the Latin, liber, meaning “free.”) Those who wished to retain the monarchy would be called “conservative.” (From the Latin conservare, “to preserve or retain.”)

Our Founding Fathers were “liberals.” They wanted to change their government from a monarchy to a democracy. I wouldn't call to much on the founding fathers, with your liberal ideals. Actually some of those got people burned at the stake or worse. I would tend to lean more with the moderates if I were you, it might be safer, especially if you go to calling on the "forefathers"...haha
