If anyone knows someone in a bad situation (for example, a domestic abuse victim or an elderly person with no home phone) who can't afford a cell phone for emergency calls, let me know. I have several deactivated Cingular/ATT "Go Phones" that can't be reactivated for regular use, but they can still be used to make 911 calls in the case of an emergency.

I am going to donate the leftovers to Safeplace, but I wanted to give an opportunity to those in the community who may personally know someone in need to have one first.

I have about 30 phones and chargers, and they will be available at my office starting tomorrow on a first-come, first-served basis.

Again, these phones can not be turned back on for regular use. They can ONLY be used to make 911 calls in the case of a medical or other emergency.

Yes, ma'am! All brands of phones (as long as they are charged of course) can be used for 911 calls, even if they are no longer activated.

A local charity has contacted me and needs 15 of the phones I have; so I'll be happy to find a good home for yours, too if you want to bring them by.
