Alex Jones videos removed

Twitter bans some content

Some may say it's a judgment call but anymore it seems, at least to liberals, that anything Conservative or that is from a Republican is "HATE" speech or offensive material.  Liberals have no problem with free speech as long as it favors them or as long as it doesn't favor anything conservative or Christian or so it seems anymore.

Here's the thing though, YouTube and Twitter are not of the Government but are private entities and Companies so if they want to ban one side or the other then, unfortunately, they should have that right.  It's a business decision for them and so although I, personally, don't like it or disagree I side with their right to do so, as a corporate decision.  I'm no supporter of Alex Jones and actually don't know that I've ever visited one of his sites.  I think he's one of the far Right fringe people and some of his stuff is way out there, beyond the norm.  The Left and liberals complain all the time about Talk Radio and want a "Fairness Doctrine" but if that meant that it would apply to them as well they might just have a second opinion about that.  Harry Reid, I'm sure wouldn't have made the move he did eliminating the filibuster on Judges if he just thought about Republicans taking over again.

YouTube and Twitter, as well as Facebook and most other high-tech ventures, are owned by and controlled by liberals or liberal thinking people, just like Hollywood, and most of California,  is infiltrated with more liberal-minded people and there are no Conservative owned counterparts so when YouTube eliminates videos then those who have the videos have to find a more obscure place to post them, that is less known or popular.  In a democracy and capitalist system then the market will drive, and reward or punish, corporate decisions.   Problem is that we are in a new era and things like Facebook, Amazon, Twitter, and YouTube are close to monopolies and many politicians and government officials just don't know how to deal with it or what to do about it.  Some of these, if not all of them, have become such behemoths that they can squash their competition or at least limit it.

Possibly decisions like limiting content will create the space and ability for other companies or sources to come into being and provide competition.  I don't like the limiting of decisions based on politics but like the restaurant that asks Sarah Sanders to leave, they had a right, as a business, to do so and should reap the reward or punishment in return.   Likewise, if a baker wants to deny a gay couple a cake then they have that right not to violate their religious beliefs. If we cross the line where companies are controlled by the Government then I believe we have crossed into a dangerous territory.

I do understand that there have to be some restrictions enforced by Government in some areas protected by the Constitution but I don't think Twitter or YouTube has crossed that.  Political opinions don't compare with race or gender as race and gender are not choices (well maybe they are in a liberal world).
