Finally, the French socialists, recognizing the dire financial straits of their nation, are divesting their expensive properties.

Sale of their chancery and staff apartments for their UN mission is expected to yield over $80 million.

 

This appeared in the Times Daily print version today, as well.

 

The US General Services Administration (GSA) has hundreds of unused building and real estate for which we must pay the upkeep.  Present law requires 5 years to identify and sell the property.  Time to shorten this to 12-months, then auction it off in tranches, to ensure a better price.

This is what happens when you have oppressively high taxes and regulations along with militant unions that hinder job creation.
