My son was in a car that was almost hit by the van in question during the pursuit. He told me that it was a Rogers plumbing van. I know that in the heat of the moment that he could have gotten it wrong, but he was very concerned and also spoke to a Policeman about this and was told by said police officer from Florence that it was a ROGERS plumbing van.... I don't know for sure, just going by what my son saw...
Just past a Barnett plumbing van - it is red, white, and blue (blue van with red/white wording). Hardly the van in the photos in this thread.
I know nothing about the chase, but Barnett at one time had the contract on my apt. bldg. I know they have at least two vans, both different. They both did have a pic of Keith Barnett in a back window.
Barnett does have a few vans. Don't know about Roger's plumbing though, they may have more than one van as well.
I had a friend that had a van, but he wasn't a plumber. He probably could have been, when he squatted he showed his butt crack. I don't believe he was ever involved in a police chase or ever ran over stop sticks.
Barnett paints all his vans blue. So I doubt it is his, although there may be another company with a similar name.

Some plumbers are aware of their reputations. The husband asked the wife what the "LS" charge on the plumbing bill was. She replied it for a long shirt.

What plumbing company was it? Was it stolen or someone's work truck?
Dixie, what's up? I thought you were in the know.
Been out of town with my mom who had surgery...haven't been around as much lately...sorry
HOWEVER...I've been informed there is a big padlock on the door of Barnett Plumbing at the Cherry St location...so I am assuming the "rumors" are true as to who it was and what van he was driving...
Love the 'LS' charge

You may have been wrongly informed as I stated earlier I saw a Barnett plumbing truck. Once again, I think the confusion is Barnett and Roger's are BOTH Barnett's - they are BROTHERS.
Ah, the saga continues...
I'm waiting for someone to actually do a Smitty's Wrecker drive-by as suggested by CrimsonLegacy.

Evidently you never learned to read. I have the video to prove the name of the truck was Barnett Plumbing. The driver's name was Roger! So, you are wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!! I stated that I was involved in the pursuit, so I believe I know. I wasn't someone standing in their front yard attempting to be nosy!
This above is where he gets the truck thing; you were probably just typing and thinking quickly and accidentally said truck---nitpicking.
Now I'm aching to know who is right; Grizzly or Crimson? My money is with Crimson and the others who say it was Barnett's.
Silliness.
Thanks for pointing that out. I believe our courtroom is open to the public.
ROGERS PLUMBING was the van that drove right in front of my house riding on the rims and with about 10 cops behind him. Now who was driving it I dont know and could give 2 cents but I do know what I saw and who knows it might have been a Barnett guy driving? Maybe that is where the mix up is?? Dont try to make me look dumb when there are others saying the same!

Your making yourself look dumb. I think you partied a little to hard that night. The message you sent me stated that a Sheffield officer threw the driver of the van to the ground. This pursuit never came close to entering their jurisdiction and they were not involved. So, if you can't tell the difference between Sheffield and Muscle Shoals, I doubt seriously if you can tell the difference between the alphabet. Sometimes alcohol plays funny tricks on the eyes.
Come on crimson, let us in on your private page. If you won't let anyone else see it, just show it to me. Quit teasing us.

crimson is it possible the van says one thing and the registration says something else?

Thank you! Finally someone understands what I am talking about..
I have no doubt about the padlock on the door of Barnett plumbing...now as to whether or not it was the owner of the company that was driving the van or his brother -- I don't know...but there is obviously a connection to the two events...And yes Rogers Plumbing and Barnett Plumbing are brothers...maybe they share more than just blood...

is it too late to take that bet?

Pappy always told me to be able to back up what I say.
Well, they did get the Plumbing part right.

And technically, a van is a truck...
Yep, that's what I thought. That's the company that did some work at my house several months ago. I cannot wait to hear the rest of this story...
Like I mentioned earlier, they've done work for me as well - absolutely NO complaints! Both Barnett's have done good work-Roger's did the most work and great work.
Prayers for him and his family as they go through this struggle as well.

Alright Grizzly - that is grrrrrreat!!! I was wrong - I actually said I thought it was probably a Barnett Plumbing - I am glad you proved you were right. The other dude - who is a so - called cop - has a private page that he can pipe onto the internet from his patrol car camera but not onto this forum because that wouldn't be very professional of him. I think he is an armchair spike thrower with COPS on TV, a handheld scanner in his hand and Roger Lovelace on speaker phone!!!!!!!

Or so he said - I've noticed he and 2-3 others with all this prove have suddenly 'poofed'
nice one grizzly, i can't wait for a response from crimson. enough said.

At one time I wanted to be a race car driver, but I never claimed that I was.

HA! Man oh man, I went with the wrong team, didn't I? I hope no bookie hunts me down. But I am SO THANKFUL that Grizzly did the drive-by and took the picture---phew!
I wouldn't be a truth teller if I denied googling Smitty's address---if it hadn't involved crossing a bridge I would have done the drive-by and picture takin' myself!
Good going Grizzly!

You totally drove by and checked out the situation, didn't you
I'll eat my crow about the name on the van. However, I'll say again there are a number of people on the forums who know who I am and where I work. It's no secret! My only explanation would be that I was focued on my driving, roadway traffic, and the van. I guess the driver's information and tag information also helped to contribute to my misconception. I owe you a big apology Grizzly. So, I guess the adrenaline rush blocked my ability to read. Anyway, I'm sorry Grizzly for doubting and insulting you because it was unwarranted. I'll blame it on tunnel vision!
Ok so I'm confused. Who was it? What company? What did they do? I'm still trying to sort through all this and the stuff I've been told...
Beautifulme -- love the reference to Roger Lovelace -- that cracked me up...

Dixie, go to page 7 of this thread.
Well, does a member of the Barnett family work for Roger's?
They are not brothers. Kenneth's brother sells used cars and is no longer a plumber.

Thank you, I accept your apology. Hopefully next time I could actually catch this on video.. ..hint.. hint..
